Abstract
Se revela un proceso para la aislacion del antibiotico de calidad farmaceutica acido pseudomonico A del caldo de cultivo de uno de la especie productora del acido pseudomonico A del genero de la bacteria Pseudomonas, que comprende la extraccion del acido pseudomonico A biosintetizado del caldo de cultivo a un pH acido con un hidrocarburo alifatico clorado o acetato de isobutilo, seguida por la purificacion. La invencion incluye procesos para la purificacion del acido pseudomonico A aislado, que incluyen (a) mediante la distribucion del residuo de extracto evaporado entre el alcohol acuoso y algun hidrocarburo alifatico o aromatico, y luego la extraccion de la fase alcoholica acuosa aumentada que contiene agua con cloruro de metileno, acetato de etilo o acetato de isobutilo; (b) mediante la extraccion del extracto con carbonato de hidrogeno de amonio acuoso, hidroxido de metal alcalino o solucion de hidroxido de amonio y la acidificacion del extracto acuoso alcalino resultante, luego la reextraccion nuevamente con un hidrocarburo alifatico clorado o acetato de isobutilo; y (c) mediante la concentracion del extracto y la recristalizacion del acido pseudomonico cristalino A en una mezcla de acetato de isobutilo y eter de petroleo, o acetonitrilo o acetonitrilo acuoso.
