Abstract

La presente invencion es por lo menos una composicion de mezcla elastomérica termoplástica de dos componentes que comprenden por lo menos un copolímero de bloque estirénico en donde la composicion tiene esencialmente la misma elasticidad comparativa, capacidad de servicio a alta temperatura y dureza que la porcion de copolímero de bloque (sin mezcla) no diluido no modificado de la composicion. La composicion muestra también estabilidad térmica y capacidad de proceso mejoradas y es muy adecuada para fabricar moldes elásticos, películas y fibras así como para formulacion con asfaltos, adhesivos y selladores. La composicion de mezcla elastomérica termoplástica novedosa comprende (a) de 50 a 99% en peso de por lo menos un copolímero de bloque y (b) de 1 a 50% en peso de por lo menos un interpolímero de etileno homogéneamente ramificado que tiene una densidad desde 0.855 g/cc hasta 0.905 g/cc, en donde el interpolímero de etileno en la cantidad empleada es un extensor substancialmente inerte del copolímero de bloque estirénico y la composicion está caracterizada porque tiene: (i) modulos de almacenamiento a través de la escalada de -26 degree C hasta 24 degree C de menos de 3.5 X 10 a la 9 dinas/cm², (ii) una relacion de modulo de almacenamiento a -26 degree C hasta un modulo de almacenamiento a 24 degree C de menos de 4, y (iii) modulos de almacenamiento a -26 degree C y 24 degree C, 0.2 hasta 3 veces mayores que los modulos de almacenamiento a -26 degree C y 24 degree C, respectivamente, de la porcion de copolímero de bloque sin mezcla de la composicion.
