Abstract
Se presenta un procedimiento para la conversion de aceites crudos pesados o residuos de destilacion a destilados, el cual comprende los siguientes pasos; mezclar el aceite o petroleo pesado o el residuo de la destilacion con un catalizador adecuado para la hidrogenacion y enviar la mezcla obtenida a un reactor para ocasionar la hidrogenacion introduciendo hidrogeno o una mezcla de hidrogeno H2S; enviar la corriente conteniendo el producto de reaccion que se va a tratar por hidrogenacion y el catalizador en fase de lechada a una zona de destilacion, donde se separan las fracciones más volátiles; enviar la fraccion de alta ebullicion obtenida en la etapa de destilacion a una etapa para quitar el asfalto, obteniendo dos corrientes, una consistente de aceite o petroleo sin asfalto, la otra consistente de componentes de asfalto, catalizador en fase lechosa, posiblemente coque y rica en metales que provienen de la carga inicial; reciclar cuando menos 60% de la corriente consistente de asfaltenos o componentes de asfaltos, catalizador en fase lechosa opcionalmente coque y rica en metales a la zona para ser tratada por hidrogenacion.
