Abstract

Descripción de un proceso continuo para la obtención de un producto de éster alquilo. El proceso comprende los pasos de carbonilación de etileno con monóxido de carbono en presencia de un correactivo alcanol C1-6 para formar el producto de éster alquilo. La carbonilación tiene lugar en presencia de un sistema de catalizadores que comprende; a. un ligando bidentato, b. un metal catalítico seleccionado de un metal de grupo 8, 9 ó 10 o un compuesto del mismo y c. un ácido sulfónico capaz de formar un éster alquilo ácido con el alcanol C1-6. El proceso incluye el paso de separar el producto de éster alquilo de una corriente de producto crudo carbonilado mediante un tratamiento eficaz para evaporar el producto de éster alquilo en una columna de destilación instantánea de una sola etapa y proporcionar una corriente purificada de producto de éster alquilo separada del ligando bidentato y el metal catalítico. La columna de destilación incluye un medio de separación adicional eficaz para la separación adicional del producto.
