Abstract
Un procedimiento para procesar residuos de tratamiento de agua, u otros residuos ricos en óxido de aluminio o hidróxido de aluminio amorfo, para su uso en la fabricación de aglutinantes hidráulicos, que comprende calentar los residuos para eliminar el agua y oxidar el material orgánico contenido en estos, que comprende controlar la temperatura de los residuos durante el calentamiento de manera que se calienten a una temperatura no superior a 800 °C, más preferentemente no superior a 650 °C, para garantizar que los compuestos de aluminio en los WTR, en particular óxido de aluminio e hidróxido de aluminio, permanezcan en un estado amorfo. El procedimiento puede comprender controlar la temperatura de los residuos de tratamiento de agua de modo que se calienten a una temperatura entre 350 °C y 650 °C, más preferentemente entre 400 °C y 500 °C.
