Abstract

En la presente se describe un proceso para preparar un polímero de poli (furanodicarboxilato de alquileno). En una modalidad, el proceso comprende a) poner en contacto una mezcla que comprende un éster dialquílico del ácido furanodicarboxílico, un diol que comprende etilenglicol, 1,3- propanodiol, 1,4-butanodiol, 1,4-ciclohexanodimetanol, o mezclas de estos, y un catalizador metálico a una temperatura comprendida en el intervalo de aproximadamente 140 °C a aproximadamente 220 °C para formar un prepolímero, donde la relación molar del éster dialquïlico del ácido furanodicarboxílico respecto al diol está comprendida en el intervalo de 1:1.3 a 1:2.2; b) llevar a cabo una policondensación calentando el prepolímero a presión reducida hasta una temperatura comprendida en el intervalo de aproximadamente 220 °C a aproximadamente 260 °C para formar el polímero de poli (furanodicarboxilato de alquileno); donde la velocidad de policondensación en el paso c) es mayor cuando el compuesto de tipo antraquinona está presente que cuando no lo está; y c) añadir al menos un compuesto de tipo antraquinona tal como se describe en la presente; y.
