Abstract
La presente invención proporciona un método que permite la fabricación de un artículo moldeado de copolímero que contiene silicona que tiene una superficie hidrófila por medio del método de moldeo por colada y sin emplear un polímero hidrófilo de alto peso molecular aun cuando se utilice un molde de polipropileno. Se proporciona un método para la fabricación de un artículo moldeado de copolímero que contiene silicona que tiene una superficie hidrófila mediante la polimerización de una solución de monómeros que contiene (a) un monómero de silicona que comprende un grupo (met)acriloilo; (b) un monómero hidrófilo que comprende un grupo vinilo; (c) un monómero reticulable; y (d) un iniciador de polimerización en una cavidad de un molde que tiene una superficie de cavidad hidrófoba. El iniciador de polimerización tiene una temperatura de vida media de 10 horas (T10) de 70 °C o superior y 100 °C o inferior, y la polimerización se lleva a cabo por medio de una etapa P1 de mantener una temperatura dentro de un intervalo desde la T10 del iniciador de polimerización contenido en la solución de monómeros a 35 °C por debajo de T10 durante una hora o más; y una etapa P2 de mantener una temperatura mayor que la T10 del iniciador de polimerización contenido en la solución de monómeros durante una hora o más.
