Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método para descontaminar una superficie metálica, donde la superficie metálica está situada en un componente dentro de una planta nuclear, en particular, dentro del sistema de refrigeración de una planta de energía nuclear, y está cubierta con una capa de óxido metálico que contiene sustancias radiactivas, y donde el método comprende una etapa de descontaminación en la que una capa de óxido metálico pretratada en una etapa de oxidación se pone en contacto con una solución acuosa de un ácido orgánico para disolver la capa de óxido metálico, de modo de formar una solución de descontaminación que contiene el ácido orgánico, al igual que iones metálicos y las sustancias radiactivas, y donde la solución de descontaminación se pasa por un intercambiador de iones para inmovilizar los iones metálicos y las sustancias radiactivas. Un oxidante seleccionado del grupo que consiste en oxígeno, aire, peróxido de hidrógeno y ozono se dosifica en la solución de descontaminación para controlar la tasa de disolución de la capa de óxido de metal. El método es particularmente adecuado para la descontaminación del sistema a gran escala, y garantiza una alta estabilidad del proceso.
