Abstract

Se describe un proceso para producir un negro de carbón de superficie modificada. El proceso comprende la etapa de tratamiento del negro de carbón con un compuesto de azufre en una cantidad en el rango de 0.005% - 1% del negro de carbón para efectuar in situ la formación de los grupos de superficie para producir el negro de carbón de superficie modificada, el cual al momento de combinarse con una composición de polímero altera la interacción del polímero del negro de carbón para disminuir la histéresis de la composición de polímero. También se disminuye el tiempo de curado que se requiere para la composición del polímero que comprende el negro de carbón de superficie modificada. Los compuestos de azufre preferibles son sales de sulfito o de sulfato.
