Abstract
Se describen en la presente métodos para hacer dispositivos microfluídicos que comprenden vidrio o materiales que contienen vidrio, en donde los métodos tienen costo reducido y/o propiedades dimensionales mejoradas con respecto a artículos de vidrio formados de manera similar producidos utilizando técnicas actuales; en particular, se provee una primera pieza de material no adherente rígido, que tiene una superficie de moldeo con diseño; se provee una primera cantidad de composición que contiene vidrio; la primera cantidad de composición que contiene vidrio se pone en contacto con la superficie de moldeo con diseño y se prensa entre la superficie de moldeo con diseño y una segunda superficie; la pieza de material no adherente rígido y la primera cantidad de composición que contiene vidrio se calientan juntas de manera suficiente para ablandar la cantidad de composición que contiene vidrio de modo que la superficie de moldeo con diseño se replica en la primera cantidad de composición que contiene vidrio, formando un artículo que contiene vidrio formado; por lo menos una porción del artículo que contiene vidrio formado se sella para crear un dispositivo microfluídico que tiene por lo menos un paso fluídico a través del mismo.
