  1. 회전 부재에 부착된 비 소모 회전 탐침을 갖는 마찰 교반 용접 공구에 있어서, 하나 이상의 절삭 날과, 절삭 날을 상기 부재에 장착하는 하나 이상의 지지 기구를 포함하고, 상기 부재 및 상기 비 소모 탐침의 회전은 하나 이상의 절삭 날이 마찰 교반 용접 부의 외부 표면을 기계 가공하게 하는 하나 이상의 절삭 날의 같은 회전을 일으키는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  2. 제 1항에 있어서, 절삭 날을 장착하는 하나 이상의 지지기구는 회전 부재의 수준 아래로 대략 0.051 내지 0.25㎜(0.002 내지 0.010inch)의 깊이로 회전 부재의 외주연 가까이에 절삭 날을 위치시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  3. 제 1항에 있어서, 절삭 날을 장착하는 하나 이상의 지지 기구는 그 하부 단부에서 절삭 날을 갖는 하나 이상의 절삭 인서트와, 절삭 인서트를 회전 부재의 외주연에 탈착 가능하게 장착하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  4. 제 3항에 있어서, 절삭 인서트를 탈착 가능하게 장착하는 수단은 각 절삭 인서트가 홈에 결합 가능하도록 회전 부재에 형성된 하나 이상의 홈과, 각 절삭 인서트를 회전 부재에 고정하고 회전 부재의 외주연에 부착 가능한 칼라와, 원하는 장소에서 홈 내에 절삭 인서트를 고정하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  5. 제 4항에 있어서, 칼라는 상이한 치수를 갖는 절삭 인서트의 사용을 허용하도록 각 절삭 인서트 장소에서 내부 절취부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  6. 제 4항에 있어서, 절삭 인서트 고정 수단은 칼라에 형성된 반경 방향 구멍들을 통해 나사 체결되는 세트 스크루들을 포함하고, 세트 스크루들은 절삭 인서트를 홈 내로 가압하는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  7. 제 3항에 있어서, 절삭 날은 회전 부재의 수준에 대해 대략 0.051 내지 0.25㎜(0.002 내지 0.010inch)의 깊이와, 회전 부재의 측면에 대해 약 1.27 내지 2.54㎜(0.050 내지 0.100inch)의 외측 거리로 위치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  8. 제 1항에 있어서, 절삭 날을 장착하는 하나 이상의 지지 기구는 하나 이상의 절삭 날을 갖는 하나 이상의 모서리 절삭 날과, 하나 이상의 모서리 절삭 날을 회전 부재의 외주연 가가이 장착하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 기구.
  9. 제 8항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 모서리 절삭 날은 하나의 모서리 절삭 인서트이고 모서리 절삭 인서트를 장착하는 수단은 하부 단부를 갖는 절삭 인서트 홀더와, 회전 부재에 형성되고 절삭 인서트 홀더가 결합 가능한 인서트 홀더 구멍과, 절삭 인서트 홀더를 원하는 장소에서 인서트 홀더 구멍 내에 고정하는 수단과, 모서리 절삭 인서트를 절삭 인서트 홀더 하부 단부에 부착하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  10. 제 9항에 있어서, 모서리 절삭 인서트는 절삭 날로서 작용 가능한 4개의 모서리를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  11. 제 9항에 있어서, 모서리 절삭 인서트는 스크루 장치에 의해 절삭 인서트 홀더에 제거 가능하게 부착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  12. 제 9항에 있어서, 부착 수단은 회전 부재의 반경 방향 구멍을 통해 나사 체결되는 세트 스크루를 포함하고, 세트 스크루는 절삭 인서트 홀더를 사용 중 특정 장소에 고정하기 위해 절삭 인서트 홀더를 가압하는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  13. 제 9항에 있어서, 절삭 날은 회전 부재의 수준에 대해 대략 0.051 내지 0.25㎜(0.002 내지 0.010inch)의 깊이와, 회전 부재의 측면에 대해 약 1.27 내지 2.54㎜(0.050 내지 0.100inch)의 외측 거리로 위치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.

  15. 제 14항에 있어서, 모서리 절삭 인서트는 하나 이상의 절삭 날로 작용하는 하나 이상의 모서리를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  16. 제 14항에 있어서, 모서리 절삭 인서트는 중심 스크루 장치에 의해 각 탭에 제거 가능하게 부착되는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.
  17. 제 14항에 있어서, 절삭 날은 회전 부재의 수준에 대해 대략 0.051 내지 0.25㎜(0.002 내지 0.010inch)의 깊이와, 회전 부재의 측면에 대해 약 1.27 내지 2.54㎜(0.050 내지 0.100inch)의 외측 거리로 위치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 공구.

  20. 비 소모 탐침을 갖는 회전 부재에 의한 마찰 교반 용접 방법에 있어서, 하나 이상의 절삭 날을 회전 부재에 부착하는 단계와, 절삭 날로 지향되는 물을 용접 과정 중 제공하는 단계와, 하나 이상의 절삭 날의 회전이 마찰 교반 용접 부의 회부 표면을 기계 가공하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 방법.
  21. 제 20항에 있어서, 물의 온도가 약 10 내지 30℃인 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 방법.
  22. 제 20항에 있어서, 물은 공기 물 분무 혼합물의 형태로 분당 약 0.04 내지 0.381(0.01 내지 0.10gallon)의 양으로 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 방법.
  23. 제 20항에 있어서, 부재와 탐침의 회전은 탐침 이동의 선형 방향에 대해 약간 뒤의 각도에서 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 마찰 교반 용접 방법.
