Abstract
본 발명은 하기 일반식(1)의 광 가교결합성 액정 화합물, 상기 화합물을 함유하는 액정 혼합물 및 이들을 가교결합된 상태로 광학 소자에 사용하는 용도에 관한 것이다 :
상기 식에서, 고리 A 내지 F는 각각 피리딘-2,5-디일, 피리미딘-2,5-디일, 트란스-1,4-사이클로헥실렌, 트랜스-1,3-디옥산-2,5-디일 또는 독립적으로 할로겐, 메틸 및/또는 시아노로 임의로 치환된 1,4-페닐렌이고; Z1, Z2및 Z7은 독립적으로 -CH2-(CH2)S-, -(CH2)S-O-, -O(CH2)S-, -COO-, -OOC-, -(CH2)SCOO- 또는 -(CH2)SOOC-이고; Z3, Z4및 Z8은 독립적으로 단일결합, -CH2CH2-, -CH2O-, -OCH2-, -COO-, -OOC-, -(CH2)4-, -O(CH2)3- 또는 -(CH2)3O-이고; Z5및 Z6는 -(CY2)S-, -O(CY2)S-, -(CY2)SO-, -(CY2)SCOO-, -(CY2)SOOC-, -(Si〔(CH3)2〕O)s-, -OCH2(Si〔(CH3)2〕O)SSi〔(CH3)2〕CH2O- 또는 -NHCH2(Si〔(CH3)2〕O)SSi〔(CH3)2〕CH2NH-이고; Y는 수소 또는 불소이고; m, n, q 또는 r은 독립적으로 0, 1 또는 2이고; S은 1 내지 16의 정수이고; R1및 R2는 CH2=CH-, CH2=CH-COO-, CH2=C(CH3)-COO-, CH2=C(Cl)-COO-, CH2=C(Ph)-COO-, CH2=CH-COO-Ph-, CH2=CH-CO-NH-, CH2=C(CH3)-CONH-, CH2=C(Cl)-CONH-, CH2=C(Ph)-CONH-, CH2=C(COOR′)-CH2-COO-, CH2-CH-O-, CH2=CH-OOC-, Ph-CH=CH-, CH3-C(=NR´)-, 시스, 트란스 -HOO-CR´=CR´-COO-,또는 의 구조를 갖는 가교결합성 그룹이고; Ph는 페닐이고; R´은 저급 알킬이고; R˝은 메틸, 메톡시, 시아노 또는 할로겐이나, 단 R1-Z5및 R2-Z6는 -O-O- 또는 -N-O- 그룹을 함유하지 않고; R3는 수소, 할로겐, 시아노 또는 알킬, 알콕시, 알콕시카보닐이거나. 또는 메톡시, 시아노 및/또는 할로겐으로 임의로 치환된 알카노일옥시 그룹이고; X1, X2및 X3는 독립적으로 수소, 할로겐, 시아노 또는 저급 알킬이나; 단 m이 2이고/이거나, n이 2일때 두개의 고리 B 및 D는 동일하거나 상이할 수 있다.

- 제9항에 있어서, 하나 이상의 화학식(1)의 화합물뿐아니라 하기 화학식(2) 내지 화학식(9)의 화합물 중의 하나 이상의 화합물을 포함하는 가교결합성 액정 혼합물:상기 식에서, X는 수소, 불소, 염소, 브롬 또는 메틸이고; s′은 3 내지 12의 정수이고; t는 2 내지 12의 정수이고 Z는 -OCH2- 또는 -OOC-이고; A는 1,4-페닐렌 또는 2- 또는 3-플루오로-1,4-페닐렌이고; S는 -(CH2)s- 또는 -(CH2)|sO-이고; R은 CH2=CH-COO-, CH2=C(CH3)-COO-, CH2=CH-O- 또는이다.
