Claims (37)

  1. 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템에 있어서, 광을 상기 액정표시자치에 제공하기 위한 평면한 정면부와, 이 정면부에 평행한 복수의 평면부 및 상기 정면부에 대해 소정의 각도로 형성되어 상기 배면 평행부와 연결하도록 고정된 복수의 부면을 포함한 배면부와, 상기 정면부를 통해 전달되는 광을 수신하기 위한 최소 하나의 단부면을 갖는 도광관과, 광을 상기 도광관에 제공하는 상기 도광관의 광을 수신하기 위해 상기 단부면 각각에 인접 배치된 광원 수단과, 상기 도광관을 통해 광이 역반사 되도록 상기 도광관 배면에 평행하게 인접 배치된 반사기 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 반사기 수단은 평면이고 상기 도광판 배면부에 인접 배치된 정면부를 가지며, 상기 반사기 수단의 정면부는 일련의 그루브를 구비하며, 상기 그루브의 길이방향축은 상기 부면의 길이 방향 축에 평행인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 그루브의 길이방향축은 상기 부면의 길이 방향축에 약간 경사지게 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 반사기 수단은 평면이고 상기 도광관 배면부에 인접 배치된 정면부를 가지며, 상기 반사기 수단의 정면부는 고반사 및 고산란 되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  5. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광원 수단 및 상기 광원 수단으로 발생된 광을 상기 도광관에 접속하는 상기 도광관 사이에 분사기 수단을 추가로 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 분사기 수단은 상기 광원 수단과 접하는 평면을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 분사기 수단의 평면은 반사방지막으로 도포되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  8. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 분사기 수단은 상기 광원 및 도광판 사이에 접촉 고착되는 인덱스 정합 물질을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  9. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 분사기 수단은 상기 광원 수단의 면에 적합하게 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  10. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 분사기 수단은 현상된 프레이넬 렌즈를 갖는 면을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 상기 프레이넬 렌즈는 원통형 프레이넬 렌즈인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  12. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 도광관의 광을 수신하기 위한 상기 단부의 각각은 평면을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 단부는 반사방지막으로 도포되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  14. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 단부는 현상된 프레이넬 렌즈를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  15. 제14항에 있어서, 상기 프레이넬 렌즈는 원통형 렌즈인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  16. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 도광관의 광을 수신하기 위한 상기 단부의 각각은 상기 광원 수단의 면에 적합하게 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  17. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광원 수단은 형광 램프인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  18. 제17항에 있어서, 상기 형광 램프는 반사기 램프인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  19. 제17항에 있어서, 상기 형광 램프는 개구형 램프인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  20. 제17항에 있어서, 상기 형광 램프는 냉음극 램프인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  21. 제20항에 있어서, 상기 램프는 부분적으로 절연체로 에워싸여 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  22. 제21항에 있어서, 상기 절연체는 상기 램프에 접하는 반사면을 포함한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  23. 제17항에 있어서, 상기 램프는 열음극 램프인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  24. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광원 수단은 균일한 분산 형광 램프를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  25. 제24항에 있어서, 상기 광원 수단은 상기 도광관에 대해 반사광으로 상기 램프 둘레에 형성된 반사기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  26. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 도광관은 폴리 메틸 메타 크릴레이트로 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅으로 하기 위한 시스템.
  27. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 평형부에서 상기 부면부의 각은 90 내지 180도 사이의 각인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  28. 제27항에 있어서, 상기 각은 135도의 각인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  29. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 연속 부면 거리로부터 이격된 피치는 인간의 가시범위를 초과하여 요구되는 길이 보다 더 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  30. 제29항에 있어서, 상기 피치는 변화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이티 하기 위한 시스템.
  31. 제29항에 있어서, 상기 피치는 인치당 최대 1000으로 균일하게 변화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  32. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 연속 평행부 사이의 부면부 높이는 2개의 제한점 내에서 변화되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  33. 제32항에 있어서, 상기 부면부 높이는 대략 1 내지 100미크론인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  34. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 도광관 정면부에 인접 평행하게 고착된 확산체를 추가로 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  35. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 도광관 정면부에 인접 평행하게 고착된 저산란 확산체를 추가로 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  36. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 부면부는 평면인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
  37. 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 부면부는 원통형 표면부인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치를 백라이팅 하기 위한 시스템.
