Claims (25)

  1. 금속 주형 물질내에 삽입된 평균 직경 10미크론 이하의 본질적으로 정렬되어 있는 무기 산화물 섬유로 구성되는 금속 주형 조성물.
  2. 제1항에에 있어서, 최소한 90%의 무기산화물 섬유가 섬유 정렬 방향에 본질적으로 평행인 조성물.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 무기산화물 섬유의 평균 직경이 5미크론 이하인 조성물.
  4. 제1항 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서, 무기산화물 섬유가 명목상 연속적인 섬유인 조성물.
  5. 전기한 항의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 섬유의 부피 분율이 10 내지 60%인 조성물.
  6. 전기한 항의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 무기산화물 섬유가 알루미나 섬유인 조성물.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 섬유의 견괘 밀도가 1.75 내지 3.3g/ml인 조성물.
  8. 제6항 또는 제7항에 있어서, 섬유가 1500GPa 이상의 장력 강도 및150GPa 이상의 계수를 가지는 조성물.
  9. 전기한 항의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 주형 금속이 알루미늄 또는 알루미늄의 합금인 조성물.
  10. 제1항에서 제8항까지의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 주형금속이 마그네슘 또는 마그네슘의 합금인 조성물.
  11. 제10항에 있어서, 2g/ml 또는 그 이하 견괘 밀도의 삽입된 알루미나 섬유를 가지는 2g/ml 이하 밀도의 주형 금속으로 구성되고, 2g/ml 이하의 견괘 밀도를 가지는 조성물.
  12. 전기한 항의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 액체 금속 주형 물질로 무기산화물 섬유 예비형을 침윤함에 의해 제조된 조성물.
  13. 제1항에서 제11항까지의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 무기산화물 섬유 및 금속 주형 물질의 혼합물을 분출함에 의해 제조된 조성물.
  14. 결합제와 결합된 평균 직경 10미크론 이하의 본질적으로 정렬된 무기산화물 섬유로 구성되는 예비형.
  15. 제14항에 있어서, 결합제가 무기 결합제인 예비형.
  16. 제14항 또는 제15항에 있어서, 섬유의 부피 분율이 10 내지 60%인 예비형.
  17. 제14항, 제15항 또는 제16항에 있어서, 결합제의 양이 예비형 내 섬유 중량의 50%까지인 예비형.
  18. 제14항에서 제17항까지의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 섬유의 평균 직경이 5미크론 이하인 예비형.
  19. 결합제와 결합된 무기산화물 섬유의 예비형을 형성하고 예비형을 액체 금속 주형 물질로 침윤시키는 것으로 구성되는 제1항의 금속 주형 조성물을 제조하는 방법.
  20. 제19항에 있어서, 금속 주형 조성물을 예비형의 압착침윤에 의해 제조하는 방법.
  21. 제19항 또는 20항에 있어서, 예비형이 유기 결합제로 구성되고 섬유 및 유기 결합제의 혼합물의 다이(die)를 통해 분출함에 의해 제조되는 방법.
  22. 제21항에 있어서, 섬유 및 유기 결합제의 혼합물이 유기 결합제의 용액 또는 분산액 섬유의 현탁액으로 구성되는 방법.
  23. 무기산화물 섬유 및 분말 금속 주형 물질의 혼합물을 다이를 통해 분출하는 것으로 구성되는 제1항의 금속 주형 조성물을 제조하는 방법.
  24. 제23항에 있어서, 섬유 및 분말 금속 주형 물질의 혼합물이 담체 액체내의 분말 및 섬유의 현탁액으로 구성되는 방법.
  25. 제24항에 있어서, 담체액체가 수성 매체인 방법.
