Claims (20)
- 고정 길이 블록 데이터를 출력하는 압축 시스템에 있어서, 상기 시스템은,압축될 N-비트 입력 데이터를 수신하기 위한 입력부와,N-비트 보다 더 적은 비트로 상기 입력 데이터를 보상하기 위한 상기 입력부에 연결되어 있고, 출력을 하는 가변-길이 압축기(10)와,사전 결정된 상기 입력 데이터의 양을 압축하기 위해 사용된 비트의 수를 세기 위한 상기 출력에 연결된 비트 카운터(20), 및선택되어 압축된 데이터 워드에 하나 이상의 비트를 추가하기 위한 패더(30)를 포함하는 압축 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 압축된 데이터 워드를 상기 고정-길이의 압축된 데이터 블록으로 연결시키기 위한 수단(40)을 더 포함하는 압축 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 입력 데이터는 상기 시스템에 의해 고정-길이 데이터 블록으로 압축된 데이터 블록을 포함하는 압축 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 비트 카운터는 상기 데이터 워드의 압축 길이를 결정하기 위해 상기 가변-길이 압축기로 제어 신호를 공급하는 것과,상기 비트 카운터는 어떤 압축된 데이터 워드가 패드되었는지와 얼마나 많은 비트가 선택되어 압축된 데이터 워드에 패드되었는지를 선택하기 위해 상기 패더로 제어 신호를 제공하는 압축 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 가변-길이 압축기는 적어도 두 비트 길이의 압축된 데이터 워드를 출력할 수 있는 양자화기인 압축 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 가변-길이 압축기가 예측 에러값을 압축하는 압축 시스템.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 추가된 비트는 공비트(null bits)인 압축 시스템.
- 고정-길이 압축 블록 데이터에 응답하는 가변-길이 압축해제 시스템에 있어서, 상기 시스템은,압축해제될 압축 데이터를 수신하는 입력과,임의의 패딩을 구비하는 압축 데이터 워드를 포함하는 비트의 수를 계산하기 위한 상기 입력으로 연결된 비트 카운터와,패딩된 압축 데이터 워드로부터 하나 이상의 비트를 제거하기 위한 디패더, 및 상기 압축된 데이터를 수신하고 상기 압축된 데이터를 압축해제하기 위한 가변-길이 압축해제기를 포함하는 가변-길이 압축해제 시스템.
- 제 8항에 있어서,상기 비트 카운터는 상기 압축 데이터 워드로부터 얼마나 많은 비트가 디패드 되었는지를 상기 디패더에 알려주는 가변-길이 압축해제 시스템.
- 제 8항에 있어서,상기 가변-길이 압축해제기는 역양자화기인 가변-길이 압축해제 시스템.
- 제 8항에 있어서,상기 가변-길이 압축해제기는 예측 에러값을 압축해제하는 가변-길이 압축해제 시스템.
- 데이터를 고정-길이 데이터 블록으로 압축하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 방법은,압축될 데이터 워드를 수신하는 단계(60)와,상기 데이터 워드를 표시하기 위해 필요한 가변 비트 길이를 결정하는 단계(62)와,상기 데이터 워드를 상기 길이로 압축하는 단계(62)와,상기 압축된 워드가 패드될 지를 결정하는 단계(66), 및만약 결정되었다면 상기 압축된 워드를 패딩하는 단계(68)를 포함하는 압축 방법.
- 고정-길이 압축 데이터 블록으로부터 수신된 압축 데이터 워드를 수신하기 위한 방법에 있어서, 패드되어 압축된 상기 압축 데이터 블록은,압축 데이터 워드를 표시하기 위해 사용된 비트의 총 수를 결정하는 단계(80)와,상기 비트의 총 수를 검색하는 단계(82)와,상기 패드되는 비트의 총 수를 결정하는 단계(84)와,상기 압축 데이터 워드로부터 상기 결정되고 패드된 얼마간의 비트를 제거하는 단계(86), 및상기 압축 데이터 워드를 압축해제하는 단계(88)를 포함하는 압축해제 방법.
- 개선된 해상도의 비디오 영상 정보를 나타내는 고정-길이 데이터 블록의 수신된 디지털 데이터 스트림을 처리하기 위한 시스템에 있어서, 상기 신호 처리 방법은,정보를 픽셀 데이터를 생성하기 위해서 상기 비디오 정보를 디코딩 및 압축해제하는 단계와,상기 픽셀 데이터를 고정-길이 데이터 블록으로 재압축하는 단계와,선택되어 재압축된 픽셀 데이터를 상기 고정-길이 데이터 블록을 채우기 위해서 필요시될 때 패딩하는 단계를 포함하는 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 14항에 있어서, 프레임 메모리에 상기 재압축된 데이터 블록을 저장하는 단계를 더 포함하는 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 14항에 있어서, 상기 디지털 데이터 스트림은 고선명 텔레비젼 신호인 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 14항에 있어서, 상기 재압축은 최종적으로 디코드되고 재압축된 출력을 생성하는 MPEG 이동 보상 네트워크 내에 있는 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 14항에 있어서,상기 재압축된 데이터 블록내의 픽셀은 가변-길이로 재압축되는 신호 처리 방법.
- 제 14항에 있어서,상기 고정-길이 데이터 블록을 채우기 위해 요구된 상기 패딩은 픽셀 중에 산재해있는 신호 처리 방법.
