Claims (14)
- 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서에 있어서:고선명도 포맷의 비디오 데이터와 표준 선명도 포맷의 비디오 데이터를 수신하기 위한 입력 회로망(2,4,6)과;상기 입력 회로망에 연결되어, 고선명도 디코딩되고 압축해제된 비디오 데이터를 픽셀 블록 포맷으로 생성하는 디코더(16)와;프로세서에 의해서 처리되도록 하기 위하여 고선명도 포맷의 비디오 데이터를 저장하는 메모리(20)와;디스플레이하기 위해 상기 고선명도 포맷의 비디오 데이터를 처리하는 디스플레이 프로세서(40)와;상기 입력 회로망에 연결되어, 상기 표준 선명도 포맷의 데이터를 상기 고선명도 포맷의 데이터와 호환되는 픽셀 블록 포맷으로 변환하는 컨버터(22)를 포함하고;여기서, 상기 메모리(20)는 고선명도 포맷의 비디오 데이터와 변환된 표준 선명도 포맷의 비디오 데이터를 저장하는 공통 메모리를 제공하며;상기 디스플레이 프로세서(40)는 디스플레이하기 위해 상기 변환된 표준 선명도 포맷의 비디오 데이터를 또한 처리하는,복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 고선명도 포맷의 비디오 데이터는 MPEG2 호환성이며, 상기 디스플레이 프로세서(40)는 픽셀 블록 포맷으로 비디오 데이터를 받아들이는, 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서.
- 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 메모리(20) 저장하기 전에 상기 디코딩되고 압축해제된 MPEG2 비디오 데이터를 재압축하는 재압축기(28)를 더 포함하는, 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 입력 회로망(2, 4, 6)은 버스트 압축 비디오 데이터를 수신하는, 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서.
- 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 메모리는 블록-기반의 데이터와, 래스터 포맷의 필드 및 프레임 데이터를 수신하는, 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 프로세서(40)는 상기 디스플레이 프로세서(40)에 연결된 디스플레이 장치와 호환성이 있는 출력 비디오 데이터 포맷을 제공하도록 프로그램가능한, 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서.
- 제 1항에 있어서:상기 입력 회로망(2, 4, 6)은, MPEG2 포맷 비디오 데이터를 수신하기 위한 입력부(2)와 비-MPEG2 포맷 비디오 데이터를 수신하기 위한 입력부(4)를 포함하고;상기 디스플레이 프로세서(40)는, 블록 포맷 MPEG2 데이터 및 라인-블록(line-to-block) 변환된 비-MPEG2 포맷 데이터를 처리하기 위하여, 블록-라인(block-to-line) 컨버터(56)를 포함하고; 또한상기 공통 메모리(20)는 상기 디지털 프로세서에 의해서 처리되는 동안 상기 MPEG2 포맷 데이터와 상기 비-MPEG2 포맷 데이터를 저장하는,복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 상기 메모리는 픽셀 블록-기반 데이터와, 래스터 포맷의 필드 및 프레임 데이터를 수신하는, 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서.
- 제 1항에 있어서:상기 입력 회로망(2, 4, 6)과 연관된 제 1 처리 경로로서, MPEG2 포맷 비디오 정보를 수신하기 위한 입력부(2)와, 상기 디코더에 대응하는 MPEG2 디코더(16)와, 영상 정보를 디스플레이 장치에 전달하기 위한 출력부를 구비한 상기 디스플레이 프로세서(40)를 포함하는, 제 1 처리 경로와;상기 입력 회로망(2, 4, 6)과 연관된 제 2 처리 경로로서, 표준 선명도 포맷 정보를 수신하기 위한 입력부(4)와, 라인-블록 컨버터(22)와, 상기 디스플레이 프로세서(40)를 포함하는, 상기 입력 회로망과 연관된 제 2 처리 경로와;디스플레이 데이터를 상기 제 1 처리 경로 및 상기 제 2 처리 경로를 통하여 상기 디스플레이 출력부에 선택적으로 전달하기 위한 스위칭 수단을,포함하며; 여기서상기 공통 메모리(20)는 블록-기반형이며 상기 제 1 처리 경로 및 제 2 처리 경로에 연결되며;상기 디스플레이 프로세서(40)는 상기 표준 선명도 포맷의 비디오 데이터의 해상도를 변화시키기 위한 수단을 포함하며; 그리고상기 스위칭 수단은 상기 표준 선명도 포맷의 비디오 데이터를 상기 메모리에 저장하는,복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서.
- 제 9항에 있어서, 상기 메모리(20)는 픽셀 블록-기반 비디오 데이터와, 래스터 포맷의 필드 및 프레임 데이터를 수신하는, 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 디지털 프로세서.
- 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 방법에 있어서:처리될 데이터를 포함하는 신호를 수신하는 단계(120)와;상기 수신된 신호를 MPEG2 포맷 신호 및 표준 선명도 포맷 신호 중의 하나로서 식별하는 단계(122)와;수신될 때 입력 MPEG2 포맷 신호를 디코딩하여 픽셀 블록 포맷 비디오 데이터를 생성시키는 단계(124)와;상기 MPEG2 포맷 비디오 데이터를 메모리에 저장하는 단계와;입력 표준 선명도 포맷 신호를 사전-처리하여 상기 MPEG2 포맷의 비디오 데이터와 호환되는 픽셀 블록 포맷 비디오 데이터를 생성하는 단계(126)와;상기 사전-처리된 표준 해상도 포맷 비디오 데이터를 상기 메모리에 저장하는 단계와;상기 픽셀 블록 포맷 비디오 데이터를 영상 디스플레이하기에 적절한 포맷으로 콘디셔닝(conditioning)하는 단계(128); 및디스플레이 콘디셔닝된 비디오 데이터를 디스플레이 장치에 전달하는 단계(130)를포함하는, 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서, 상기 사전-처리 단계는 라인 포맷 비디오 데이터를 픽셀 블록 포맷 비디오 데이터로 변환하는, 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 방법.
- 제 11항에 있어서, 상기 콘디셔닝 단계는 픽셀 블록 포맷 비디오 데이터를 라인 포맷 비디오 데이터로 변환하는, 복수의 포맷을 가진 비디오 신호들을 처리하기 위한 방법.
