Abstract
Description
Claims (18)
- 지르코늄-세륨계 혼합 산화물의 제조 방법으로서,가용성 세륨염의 존재하에 50℃ 이하의 온도에서 지르코늄 양이온 1몰당 황산염 음이온(SO4 2-) 0.42-0.7 몰을 함유하는 가용성 지르코늄염 수용액과 알칼리를 반응시켜, 세륨-지르코늄 혼합 수산화물을 형성시키는 단계; 및상기 세륨-지르코늄 혼합 수산화물을 하소하여, 혼합 산화물을 형성시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,혼합물의 pH가 1-2의 범위가 될 때까지 지르코늄염 수용액에 알칼리를 첨가하고, 혼합물의 pH가 8 이상이 될 때까지 반응 혼합물에 추가의 알칼리를 첨가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,지르코늄염 수용액에 알칼리를 수용액 형태로 첨가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,침전물이 형성되기 전에 지르코늄염 수용액에 세륨염을 첨가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,침전물이 형성된 후에 지르코늄염 수용액에 세륨염을 첨가하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,침전 기간 중 알칼리 수용액의 농도는 첨가되는 용액의 중량을 기준으로 10-15 중량%인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 지르코늄염은 1.5-4.0의 Cl- 또는 NO3 -/Zr4+ 몰비율을 갖는 지르코늄 옥시클로라이드 및 질산 지르코늄 중 하나 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 세륨염은 염화세륨 및 질산세륨 중 하나 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 황산염 음이온(SO4 2-)은 황산, 황산지르코늄, 황산세륨, 황산나트륨, 황산칼륨, 황산암모늄 또는 이들의 혼합물의 형태로 반응 혼합물에 첨가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,희토류 금속, Mg, Ca 및 Ba로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 알칼리토금속, 및 Al 및 Si, 및 이들의 혼합물로 구성된 그룹으로부터 선택되는 제3 성분 양이온의 염화물 및 질산염 중 어느 하나 이상은, 최종 혼합 산화물중에 제3 성분의 산화물이 0.5 중량% 내지 50 중량%의 양으로 존재하도록 하는 양으로, 지르코늄염 수용액 및 반응 혼합물 중 어느 하나에 존재하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,형성된 최종 혼합 산화물은 10-90 중량%의 지르코니아(ZrO2) 및 10-60 중량%의 세리아(CeO2)를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,형성된 최종 혼합 산화물은 10-90 중량%의 지르코니아(ZrO2), 10-60 중량%의 세리아(CeO2), 및 0.5-50 중량%의 제3 성분 산화물을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,침전 기간 중, 염 수용액 중의 산화물로서 표현되는 지르코늄, 세륨 및 제3 성분의 전체 농도는 알칼리를 첨가하기 이전에 반응 혼합물의 중량을 기준으로 10-20 중량%인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,형성된 최종 혼합 산화물 중의 황산염 함량은 0.1-0.001 중량%인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
