- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 열경화성 전구체는 다가의 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트, 다가의 비닐, 다가의 에폭사이드, 다가의 아릴, 및 교차결합되는 작용기를 포함하는 소중합체 또는 중합체를 포함하는 그룹으로부터 선택되는, LC 디스플레이 제조 프로세스.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체층은 유리 전이 온도 이상의 온도에서 엠보싱되는, LC 디스플레이 제조 프로세스.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체층을 경화하는 단계는 조사, 열, 수분, 냉각, 또는 용매 또는 가소제의 증발에 의한 교차결합에 의해 달성되는, LC 디스플레이 제조 프로세스.
- 제 12 항에 있어서,상기 미리 패터닝된 메일 몰드는, 상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체층이 경화되기 전, 경화되는 동안, 또는 경화된 후 분리되는, LC 디스플레이 제조 프로세스.

- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 조사 경화성 조성물은 다가의 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트, 다가의 비닐, 다가의 에폭사이드, 다가의 아릴, 및 교차결합된 작용기를 포함하는 소중합체 또는 중합체를 포함하는 그룹으로부터 선택된 부재를 포함하는, LC 디스플레이 제조 프로세스.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 이미지와이즈 노출은 UV, 가시광선, 근 IR, 또는 전자빔 조사에 의해 달성되는, LC 디스플레이 제조 프로세스.
- a) LC 조성물로 마이크로컵을 충전하는 단계;b) 적어도 부분적으로는 상기 LC 조성물과 섞이지 않으며 상기 LC 보다 낮은 비중을 갖는 열경화성 또는 열가소성 전구체 조성물을 상기 LC 조성물에 오버코팅함으로써 상기 마이크로컵들을 밀봉하는 단계; 및c) 상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물을 경화하는 단계를 포함하는, LC 디스플레이 제조 프로세스.
- 제 20 항에 있어서,상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물은, 상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물이 상기 LC 조성물에 코팅된 후 증발되는 휘발성 용매 또는 용매 혼합물로 희석되는, LC 디스플레이 제조 프로세스.
- 제 20 항에 있어서,상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물은 조사, 열, 수분, 또는 상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물과 상기 LC 조성물 사이의 인터페이스에서의 접촉 반응에 의해 경화되는, LC 디스플레이 제조 프로세스.
- 제 20 항에 있어서,상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물은 다가의 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트, 다가의 비닐, 다가의 에폭사이드, 다가의 아릴, 다가의 이소시아네이트, 및 교차결합되는 작용기를 포함하는 소중합체 또는 중합체로 구성되는 그룹으로부터 선택되는 부재를 포함하는, LC 디스플레이 제조 프로세스.
- LC 디스플레이에 사용되는 윤곽이 뚜렷한 (well-defined) 셀들의 어레이의 제조방법에 있어서,a) LC 조성물과 상기 LC 조성물의 비중보다 낮은 비중을 갖는 열경화성 또는 열가소성 전구체 조성물의 분산으로 마이크로컵들을 충전하는 단계; 및b) 상태가 분리되어 상기 LC 조성물 위에 부유층이 형성되는 동안 또는 형성된 후 상기 열경화성 또는 열가소성 전구체의 조성물을 경화시킴으로써 마이크로컵들을 밀봉하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제 24 항에 있어서,상기 열경화성 또는 열가소성 전구체 조성물은 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트, 비닐, 다가의 아크릴레이트 또는 메타크릴레이트, 시아노아크릴레이트, 다가의 비닐, 다가의 에폭사이드, 다가의 이소시아네이트, 다가의 아릴, 및 그들로부터 유도되는 소중합체 또는 중합체에서 선택되는 물질을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- LC 디스플레이를 제조하는 방법에 있어서,a) 우선 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체층을 도전막 위에 코팅하고, 다음으로 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체층을 메일 몰드로 엠보싱하거나 도전막 위에 코팅된 조사 경화성 층을 이미지와이즈 노출하여 노출되지 않은 영역을 제거함으로써 마이크로컵들을 제조하는 단계;b) 이와 같이 형성된 마이크로컵들을 LC 조성물로 충전하는 단계; 및c) 충전된 마이크로컵들을 상기 LC 조성물의 비중보다 낮은 비중을 갖는 밀봉 조성물로 밀봉하는 단계를 포함하는 제조방법.
- 제 26 항에 있어서,접착성층으로 미리 코팅된 제 2 도전필름으로 상기 충전되고 밀봉된 마이크로컵들을 적층하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제 26 항에 있어서,상기 마이크로컵들의 밀봉은 상기 LC 조성물과 상기 LC 조성물의 비중보다 낮은 비중을 갖는 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물로 상기 마이크로컵들을 충전하고, 다음으로 상태가 분리되어 상기 LC 조성물 위에 부유층이 형성되는 동안 또는 형성된 후 상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물을 경화함으로써 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제 26 항에 있어서,상기 채워진 마이크로컵들의 밀봉은 상기 LC 조성물 위로 적어도 부분적으로는 상기 LC 조성물과 섞이지 않으며 상기 LC 조성물의 비중보다 낮은 비중을 갖는 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물을 오버코팅하고, 상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물을 경화함으로써 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 다중-컬러 LC 디스플레이의 제조 방법에 있어서,a) 우선 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체층을 도전막 위에 코팅하고, 다음으로 메일 몰드로 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체층을 엠보싱하거나 도전막 상에 코팅된 조사 경화성 층을 이미지와이즈 노출하여 노출되지 않은 영역을 제거하는 단계;b) 상기와 같이 형성된 마이크로컵들을 양성 포토레지스트로 적층하는 단계;c) 상기 양성 포토레지스트를 이미지와이즈 노출하여 미리 정해진 영역에서 선택적으로 상기 마이크로컵들을 개방하는 단계;d) 제 1 컬러의 게스트 염료(들)를 갖는 LC 조성물로 상기 개방된 마이크로컵들을 충전하는 단계;e) 상기 LC 조성물로 충전된 상기 마이크로컵들을 제 1 컬러의 게스트 염료(들)로 밀봉하는 단계;f) 다른 영역에 상기 c) 단계부터 상기 e) 단계를 반복하여 다른 컬러의 LC 조성물로 충전된 마이크로컵들의 그룹을 생성하는 단계;g) 남아있는 양성 포토레지스트가 있다면 이를 제거하는 단계; 및h) 접착성층으로 미리 코팅된 제 2 도전막으로 상기 충전되고 밀봉된 마이크로컵들을 적층하는 단계를 포함하는 제조방법.
- 제 30 항에 있어서,상기 마이크로컵들의 밀봉은 상기 LC 조성물과 상기 LC 조성물의 비중보다 낮은 비중을 갖는 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물로 상기 마이크로컵들을 충전하고, 다음으로 상태가 분리되어 상기 LC 조성물 위에 부유층이 형성되는 동안 또는 형성된 후 상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물을 경화함으로써 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
- 제 30 항에 있어서,상기 충전된 마이크로컵들의 밀봉은 상기 LC 조성물 위로 적어도 부분적으로는 상기 LC 조성물과 섞이지 않으며 상기 LC 조성물의 비중보다 낮은 비중을 갖는 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물을 오버코팅하고, 상기 열가소성 또는 열경화성 전구체 조성물을 경화함으로써 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조방법.
