Claims (9)
- USB 케이블에 의해 USB 외부기기와의 통신 인터페이스를 제공하는 USB 커넥터;상기 USB 커넥터로부터 입력되는 전압의 값을 기초로 상기 USB 외부기기로부터 상기 전압이 공급되었는지를 판단하는 상기 USB 제어부; 및상기 USB 제어부에 주기적으로 접속하여 상기 전압이 상기 USB 커넥터로 미공급되는 것으로 판단되면 현재 상태모드를 절전모드로 전환하고, 상기 전압이 상기 USB 커넥터로 공급되는 것으로 판단되면 상기 현재 상태모드를 상기 작업대기모드로 전환하는 메인 제어부;를 포함하는 절전모드 기능을 가지는 장치.

- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 메인 제어부는 상기 작업대기모드로 전환한 후, 설정된 소정 시간이 경과하는 동안 소정 작업에 대한 요청을 미수신하면, 상기 작업대기모드에서 상기 절전모드로 재전환하는 것을 특징으로 하는 절전모드 기능을 가지는 장치.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 USB 외부기기가 상기 USB 케이블을 통해 상기 USB 커넥터로 인쇄대상데이터를 전송하는 호스트 컴퓨터인 경우,상기 USB 외부기기로부터 전송되는 상기 인쇄대상데이터를 인쇄하는 인쇄 엔진부;를 더 포함하며,상기 메인 제어부는 상기 전송되는 인쇄대상데이터를 인쇄하도록 상기 인쇄 엔진부를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 절전모드 기능을 가지는 장치.
- USB 커넥터가 마련된 장치의 절전모드 제어방법에 있어서,USB 외부기기로부터 USB 케이블을 통해 상기 USB 커넥터로 전압이 공급되었는지를 주기적으로 판단하는 단계; 및상기 판단하는 단계에서 상기 전압이 상기 USB 커넥터로 미공급되는 것으로 판단되면 현재 상태모드를 절전모드로 전환하고, 상기 전압이 상기 USB 커넥터로 공급되는 것으로 판단되면 상기 현재 상태모드를 상기 작업대기모드로 전환하는 단계;를 포함하는 절전모드 제어방법.

- 제 6항에 있어서,상기 작업대기모드로 전환한 후, 설정된 소정 시간이 경과하는 동안 소정 작업이 미수행되면, 상기 절전모드로 재전환하는 단계;를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 절전모드 제어방법.
