Claims (10)
- 薄型のリチウム二次電池であって、
正極と、
所定の重ね合わせ方向において前記正極上に配置されるセパレータと、
前記重ね合わせ方向において前記セパレータの前記正極とは反対側に配置される負極と、
前記正極、前記負極および前記セパレータに含浸する電解液と、
前記重ね合わせ方向の両側から前記正極および前記負極を被覆する2層のシート部を有するとともに、前記正極、前記セパレータ、前記負極および前記電解液を内部に収容する矩形シート状の外装体と、
前記外装体の内部にて前記正極および前記負極にそれぞれ接続されるとともに前記外装体の外部へと延びる2つの端子と、
を備え、
前記外装体は、
前記正極、前記セパレータおよび前記負極と前記重ね合わせ方向に重なる矩形状の被覆領域と、
前記被覆領域の周囲を囲む矩形枠状の外周領域と、
を備え、
前記外周領域は、
前記2つの端子が配置される辺以外の一対の辺に沿ってそれぞれ延びる帯状領域であって前記2層のシート部が接合される一対の第1領域と、
前記一対の第1領域のうち少なくとも一方の第1領域と前記被覆領域との間にて前記被覆領域に沿って延びる帯状領域であって前記2層のシート部が非接合状態にて接触または近接する第2領域と、
を備える。 - 請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池であって、
前記一対の辺に垂直な幅方向における前記正極の活物質領域の幅である正極活物質幅と前記負極の活物質領域の幅である負極活物質幅とが異なる場合は、前記正極活物質幅および前記負極活物質幅のうち小さい方を除数とし、前記正極活物質幅と前記負極活物質幅とが同じである場合は前記正極活物質幅および前記負極活物質幅のうちいずれか一方を除数として、
前記一対の第1領域のうち一方の第1領域と前記被覆領域との間にのみ前記第2領域が存在する場合は前記第2領域の幅を被除数とし、前記一対の第1領域の双方と前記被覆領域との間に一対の前記第2領域が存在する場合は前記一対の第2領域の合計幅を被除数として、
前記被除数を前記除数により除算した値は、0.02以上かつ1以下である。 - 請求項1または2に記載のリチウム二次電池であって、
前記少なくとも一方の第1領域は、前記一対の辺に平行に延びる折り返し線にて幅方向に折り返されている。 - 請求項3に記載のリチウム二次電池であって、
前記折り返し線は、前記少なくとも一方の第1領域の幅方向の中央、または、前記少なくとも一方の第1領域の幅方向の中央に対して前記第2領域の反対側に位置する。 - 請求項3に記載のリチウム二次電池であって、
前記折り返し線は、前記少なくとも一方の第1領域の幅方向の中央と前記第2領域との間に位置する。 - 請求項1ないし5のいずれか1つに記載のリチウム二次電池であって、
前記正極は、
導電性を有するシート状の集電体と、
リチウム複合酸化物を含む板状セラミック焼結体である活物質板と、
を備える。 - 請求項6に記載のリチウム二次電池であって、
前記活物質板は、層状岩塩構造を有する複数の一次粒子が結合した構造を有しており、
前記複数の一次粒子の平均傾斜角は、0°よりも大きく、かつ、30°以下であり、
前記平均傾斜角は、前記複数の一次粒子の(003)面と前記活物質板の主面とが成す角度の平均値である。 - 請求項1ないし7のいずれか1つに記載のリチウム二次電池であって、
シート状デバイス、または、可撓性を有するデバイスにおける電力供給源として利用される。 - 請求項8に記載のリチウム二次電池であって、
前記可撓性を有するデバイスであるスマートカードにおける電力供給源として利用される。 - 請求項1ないし9のいずれか1つに記載のリチウム二次電池であって、
製造の際に加熱しつつ加圧する工程が施される対象デバイスにおける電力供給源として利用される。
