Abstract
Description
表1に記載した「発泡体1〜3」の配合からなる発泡性化合物を秤量し、室温(25℃)で1分間攪拌した。直ちに所定形状の金型に注入した後、発泡が始まり約30分で発泡現象が観察されなくなった。この反応物を更に24時間静置し、発泡および重合反応を完結させ、発泡体1〜3を得た。
得られた発泡体を用いて、JIS A9511に従って測定用試験片を作成した。この測定用試験片を使用し、JIS A9511に準拠し、温度23℃、変形速度5mm/分の条件で圧縮試験を行い、歪みが10%のときの圧縮強度を測定した。

各試験タイヤをリムサイズ18×7.5Jのホイールに組み付けて試験車両に装着し、タイヤの空気圧を230kPaとし、アスファルト路面からなるテストコースを平均速度80km/hにて走行し、操縦安定性および乗心地性を、ドライバーが官能評価した。この評価は3名のテストドライバーにより行い、その平均を求めた。評価結果は従来例のタイヤを100とする指数にて示した。この指数値が大きいほど通常走行時の操縦安定性および乗心地性が優れていることを意味する。なお、従来例のタイヤとしてサイド補強樹脂体を支持体とするランフラットタイヤを使用した。
各試験タイヤをリムサイズ18×7.5Jのホイールに組み付けて試験車両に装着し、右側駆動輪のバルブコアを除去する一方で他のタイヤの空気圧を230kPaとし、アスファルト路面からなるテストコースを平均速度80km/hにて走行し、ドライバーがタイヤの故障による振動を感じるまで走行を継続し、その走行距離を測定した。このような測定は3名のテストドライバーにより行い、その平均走行距離を求めた。評価結果は従来例のタイヤを100とする指数にて示した。この指数値が大きいほどランフラット耐久性が優れていることを意味する。なお、従来例のタイヤとしてサイド補強樹脂体を支持体とするランフラットタイヤを使用した。

図1に示した支持手段4が発泡体に開いた貫通孔であるランフラット支持体を、上述した実施例2と同様にして作成し、空気入りタイヤに装着し、タイヤ/ホイール組立体を組み立てた。得られたタイヤ/ホイール組立体の通常走行試験、ランフラット走行試験および重量を上述した方法で行った。

・イソシアナート化合物1:ポリメチレンポリフェニルポリイソシアネート、NCO基含有率31%、住化バイエルウレタン社製スミジュール44V10
・イソシアナート化合物2:ポリメチレンポリフェニルポリイソシアネート、NCO基含有率31%、住化バイエルウレタン社製スミジュール44V20

Claims (12)
- 空気入りタイヤの空洞部内のリム上に外周側を支持面に形成したランフラット支持体を配置したタイヤ/ホイール組立体において、
前記ランフラット支持体が、タイヤ周方向に複数の発泡体を帯状部材で連結されてなり、前記リムの外周上に環状に配置されてなることを特徴とするタイヤ/ホイール組立体。 - 前記発泡体が、前記帯状部材を懸架する支持手段を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
- 前記帯状部材が、タイヤ周方向長さを伸縮自在に繰り返し調整することができる締緩機構を有することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
- 前記発泡体の密度が、0.05〜0.3g/cm3であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
- 前記発泡体の10%歪み時の圧縮強度が20N/cm2以上であり、且つ5%歪み時の曲げ強度が30N/cm2以上であることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
- 前記空気入りタイヤの子午線方向断面において、前記発泡体の断面積が空気入りタイヤの空洞部の断面積の1/4以上であることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
- 前記支持手段が、前記発泡体のタイヤ周方向に開いた貫通孔であることを特徴とする請求項2〜6のいずれかに記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
- 前記支持手段が、タイヤ径方向内側で前記発泡体に固定された金属部材、樹脂部材またはゴム部材であることを特徴とする請求項2〜6のいずれかに記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
- 前記発泡体が、タイヤ径方向外向きに張り出しタイヤ周方向に延在する少なくとも2つの凸部と、これら凸部の間に形成された凹部を有し、この凹部に前記帯状部材がタイヤ1周にわたり配置されてなることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
- 前記発泡体が、前記凸部の両側に沿って形成され前記リム上に固定される脚部を有し、かつ前記凸部および脚部の内周面と前記リムの外周面により中空部が形成され、前記空気入りタイヤの子午線方向断面における前記中空部が占める面積が空気入りタイヤの空洞部の断面積の1/4以上であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
- 前記発泡体が、ポリオール、ポリイソシアネート、および水または発泡剤を主成分にする発泡性化合物からなるポリウレタンフォームであることを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
- 前記ポリウレタンフォームが、充填材、繊維、接着性付与剤、界面活性剤、老化防止剤から選ばれる少なくとも1つを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載のタイヤ/ホイール組立体。
