・基油
合成炭化水素油A:ポリ−α−オレフィン(40℃ 動粘度18mm2/s)
合成炭化水素油B:ポリ−α−オレフィン(40℃ 動粘度30mm2/s)
鉱油A:パラフィン系鉱油(40℃ 動粘度140mm2/s)
鉱油B:パラフィン系鉱油(40℃ 動粘度84mm2/s)
フッ素油:パーフルオロポリエーテル(40℃ 動粘度160mm2/s)
・増ちょう剤
リチウム石けん:炭素数12〜24の脂肪酸モノカルボンサンのLi塩(なお、少なくとも1つの水素基を含有しているもの、または、水素基を含有しないものである。)
バリウム複合石けん:脂肪酸ジカルボン酸とモノアミノカルボン酸との複合石けん
PTFE
・低温起動トルク
JIS K2220に準拠し、−30℃の低温起動トルクを測定した。
・摩耗幅
内径37mmのアクリルゴム製オイルシールの摺動面にグリースを塗布し、−30℃での回転試験を行った。回転試験は、潤滑油(鉱油ギアオイル、粘度グレード75W−90、流動点−23℃)を回転軸の中心まで満たした状態で実施した。−30℃の低温下、正転方向に10分間回転した後、停止して冷却するというパターンを1サイクルとし、100サイクルを繰り返した。その後、摺動面の摩耗幅を顕微鏡で観察した。摩耗幅が0.5mm以下を合格、0.5mm超を不合格とした。

Claims (4)
- 内燃機関において軸線について互いに相対回動可能な二部材間の間隙を密封する密封装置であって、
前記二部材の一方に取り付けられる前記軸線を中心とする環状の取付部と、前記二部材の他方に該他方が摺動可能に密接するシール部とを備える、弾性体である弾性体部を備え、
前記シール部は、前記軸線を中心とする環状のシールリップ部と、該シールリップ部に対して密封対象液側とは反対側である大気側に前記軸線を中心とする環状のダストリップとを備え、
該シールリップ部は前記軸線に向かって凸の環状の突条体であるリップ先端部を備え、
前記シールリップ部にはグリースが塗布されており、該グリースは、基油として合成炭化水素油および鉱油の少なくとも一方を含み、−30℃の低温起動トルクが25N・cm以下であることを特徴とする密封装置。 - 前記グリースは、前記リップ先端部と前記ダストリップとの間において塗布されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の密封装置。
- 前記リップ先端部は、前記密封対象液側の傾斜面である密封対象液側傾斜面と、前記大気側の傾斜面である大気側傾斜面と、前記密封対象液側傾斜面と前記大気側傾斜面との間の前記二部材の他方に該他方が摺動可能に当接する摺動面とを備え、前記グリースは少なくとも前記摺動面に塗布されていることを特徴とする請求項2記載の密封装置。
- 前記グリースは少なくとも前記リップ先端部の前記摺動面と前記大気側傾斜面とに塗布されていることを特徴とする請求項3記載の密封装置。
