Description
以下、本発明の実施の形態について図面を参照しながら説明する。
次に、このような構成の密封装置1がハブベアリング50のハブ輪55に装着された際、リップ間空間Sを形成するサイドリップ21の内周側面21aに塗布されるグリースGの塗布量と、リップ間空間Rを形成する中間リップ22の内周側面22aおよびダストリップ23の内周側面23aの双方に塗布されるグリースGの塗布量とをそれぞれ変更した場合に、サイドリップ21、中間リップ22、および、グリースリップ23がハブ輪55と接触したときの摺動抵抗を測定した。
運転パターン:10rpm×10min⇒1000rpm×60min/サイクル
サイクル数:10サイクル
雰囲気温度:30℃
ベアリングの内圧力設定:22kPa封入
使用する実機のハブベアリング : ハブ輪の軸加工目にリード目の方向性有り
以上、本発明の好適な実施の形態について説明したが、本発明は上記の実施の形態に係る密封装置1に限定されるものではなく、本発明の概念及び請求の範囲に含まれるあらゆる態様を含む。また、上述した課題及び効果の少なくとも一部を奏するように、各構成を適宜選択的に組み合わせてもよい。例えば、上記実施の形態における各構成要素の形状、材料、配置、サイズ等は、本発明の具体的使用態様によって適宜変更され得る。なお、本実施の形態に係る密封装置1は、摺動抵抗の上昇を抑制する特徴については、多様な任意の組み合わせが可能である。

Claims (5)
- 軸線について互いに相対回動可能な外周側部材と該外周側部材に少なくとも部分的に包囲された内周側部材との間を密封する密封装置であって、
前記軸線周りに配置された環状の補強環と、
前記補強環に取り付けられ、前記軸線周りに配置された弾性体からなる環状の弾性体部とを備え、
前記弾性体部は、使用状態において前記内周側部材に前記軸線において他方の側から接触するように形成された前記軸線において一方の側に向かって延びるサイドリップと、前記使用状態において前記内周側部材に前記他方の側から接触するように形成された前記サイドリップよりも内周側において前記一方の側に向かって延びる中間リップと、前記使用状態において前記内周側部材に外周側から接触するように形成された前記中間リップよりも前記他方の側において該他方の側に向かって延びるグリースリップとを有しており、
前記弾性体部は、使用状態において、前記サイドリップと前記中間リップと前記内周側部材とが囲む第1の空間に存在するグリースの塗布量の体積比よりも前記中間リップと前記グリースリップと前記内周側部材とが囲む第2の空間に存在するグリースの塗布量の体積比の方が大きく、前記第1の空間に存在するグリースの塗布量が前記第1の空間の空間体積に対して21%以下(ただし0%を除く)の体積比であり、かつ、前記第2の空間に存在するグリースの塗布量が前記第2の空間の空間体積に対して33%以下(ただし0%を除く)の体積比である
ことを特徴とする密封装置。 - 前記サイドリップ、前記中間リップ、及び前記グリースリップは、各々の内周側面に前記グリースが塗布されており、
前記グリースは、増調剤にウレア系の増ちょう剤を含んでいない
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の密封装置。 - 前記サイドリップ、前記中間リップ、及び前記グリースリップは、各々の内周側の面に梨地部が形成されており、前記梨地部の表面粗さは、7μmRz以上である
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の密封装置。 - 前記グリースリップは、その断面厚さtと延び方向長さLとの関係がt/L≧0.27である
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の密封装置。 - 軸線について互いに相対回動可能な外周側部材と、
前記外周側部材に少なくとも部分的に包囲された内周側部材と、
前記外周側部材と前記内周側部材との間を密封する密封装置と
を備えた密封構造であって、
前記密封装置は、
前記軸線周りに配置された環状の補強環と、
前記補強環に取り付けられ、前記軸線周りに配置された弾性体からなる環状の弾性体部とを備え、
前記弾性体部は、使用状態において前記内周側部材に前記軸線において他方の側から接触するように形成された前記軸線において一方の側に向かって延びるサイドリップと、前記使用状態において前記内周側部材に前記他方の側から接触するように形成された前記サイドリップよりも内周側において前記一方の側に向かって延びる中間リップと、前記使用状態において前記内周側部材に外周側から接触するように形成された前記中間リップよりも前記他方の側において該他方の側に向かって延びるグリースリップとを有しており、
前記弾性体部は、使用状態において、前記サイドリップと前記中間リップと前記内周側部材とが囲む第1の空間に存在するグリースの総量の体積比よりも前記中間リップと前記グリースリップと前記内周側部材とが囲む第2の空間に存在するグリースの総量の体積比の方が大きく、前記第1の空間に存在するグリースの塗布量が前記第1の空間の空間体積に対して21%以下(ただし0%を除く)の体積比であり、かつ、前記第2の空間に存在するグリースの塗布量が前記第2の空間の空間体積に対して33%以下(ただし0%を除く)の体積比である
ことを特徴とする密封構造。
