Abstract
Description
本実施形態の銀被覆導電性粒子は、球状の基材粒子と、基材粒子の表面に設けられた錫層と、錫層の表面に被覆された銀めっき層と、銀めっき層の表面に設けられた撥水層とを具備する。銀被覆導電性粒子における銀の含有量が25質量%以上83質量%以下である。X線回折法により測定される銀の結晶子径が18nm以上24nm以下である。また、14.7MPa(150kg/cm2)の圧力で加圧して形成した成型体の水接触角が125度以上である。
異方性導電接着剤及び異方性導電フィルムは、絶縁性のバインダー樹脂と、この絶縁性のバインダー樹脂中に分散された導電性微粒子を含有する。本実施形態では、導電性微粒子として、本実施形態の銀被覆導電性粒子が含有される。銀被覆導電性粒子の含有量は、特に限定されず、用途などに応じて適宜決定されるが、0.5%以上5%以下程度が好ましい。
本実施形態の銀被覆導電性粒子の製造方法は、基材粒子に、錫化合物の水溶液による前処理を行う工程(錫層の形成工程)と、次いで、前処理された基材粒子に、還元剤を用いて無電解銀めっきを行う工程(銀めっき層の形成工程)と、次いで、銀めっき層が形成された粒子に撥水層を形成する工程(撥水層の形成工程)とを有する。
基材粒子に錫層を形成する前処理では、例えば、錫化合物の水溶液に基材粒子を添加し、攪拌する。そして、基材粒子を濾別して水洗する。攪拌時間は、以下の錫化合物の水溶液の温度及び錫化合物の含有量によって適宜決定されるが、好ましくは、0.5時間以上24時間以下である。
銀めっき層は無電解めっき法により形成される。無電解めっき法としては、以下の方法が挙げられ、いずれの方法でも適用してもよい。
(1)錯化剤、還元剤等を含む水溶液中に、前処理をした基材粒子を浸漬し、銀塩水溶液を滴下する方法、(2)銀塩、錯化剤を含む水溶液中に、前処理をした基材粒子を浸漬し、還元剤水溶液を滴下する方法、(3)銀塩、錯化剤、還元剤等を含む水溶液に、前処理をした基材粒子を浸漬し、苛性アルカリ水溶液を滴下する方法。
撥水層を形成する方法としては、銀めっき層を形成した粒子を有機硫黄化合物又は界面活性剤を含む溶液に浸漬して撹拌混合し、乾燥する。
基材粒子としてメジアン径が20μmのアクリル樹脂の粒子を用い、前処理として、塩化第一錫:15g、35%塩酸:15cm3を、容量1dm3のメスフラスコを用いて水で1dm3に希釈(メスアップ)し、25℃に保温した状態で、基材粒子50gを添加し、1時間撹拌した。その後、基材粒子を濾別して水洗した。
撥水層を形成しなかった以外は、実施例1とほぼ同様に形成した銀被覆導電性粒子について、14.7MPaの圧力で加圧し成型体を作成し、協和界面科学株式会社製の接触角計を用いて成型体の水接触角を測定したところ、120度であった。

Claims (10)
- 球状の基材粒子の表面に錫層が設けられるとともに、該錫層の表面に銀めっき層が設けられ、該銀めっき層の表面に撥水層が被覆されていることを特徴とする銀被覆導電性粒子。
- 14.7MPaの圧力で加圧して形成した成型体の水接触角が125度以上であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の銀被覆導電性粒子。
- 前記撥水層は、有機硫黄化合物または界面活性剤を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の銀被覆導電性粒子。
- 前記有機硫黄化合物は、スルフィド化合物を主成分とするものであることを特徴とする請求項3記載の銀被覆導電性粒子。
- 前記スルフィド化合物はジアルキルスルフィドであることを特徴とする請求項4記載の銀被覆導電性粒子。
- 前記界面活性剤は、ポリオキシエチレンエーテル類であることを特徴とする請求項3記載の銀被覆導電性粒子。
- 直径が0.5μm以上30μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の銀被覆導電性粒子。
- 前記基材粒子は、アクリル系樹脂、ウレタン系樹脂、スチレン系樹脂、フェノール系樹脂、シリカ、アルミナから選ばれるいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の銀被覆導電性粒子。
- 請求項1記載の銀被覆導電性粒子を含有する導電性ペースト。
- 請求項1記載の銀被覆導電性粒子を含有する導電性膜。
