Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain sintered ore with a superior reduction powdering index at low temp. in a blast furnace by adding Ni slag crushed finely so as to provide a prescribed specific surface area to starting materials for sintering such as fine ore and coke breeze, mixing them, and sintering the mixture.
CONSTITUTION: To said starting materials for sintering is added Ni slag crushed finely so as to adjust the specific surface area, that is, the plane index to 500W 1,000cm2/g, and they are mixed and sintered. Thus, sintered ore with a superior reduction powdering index (RDI) at low temp. is obtd. with high productivity. Ni slag contains typically 6.09% T, Fe, 51.81% SiO2, 0.31% CaO, 35.71% MgO and 1.5% Al2O3 on the average.
