Abstract

(57)【要約】 【構成】 特に通信ケーブルや光波ガイドのための保護
パイプとして使用されるべき波形パイプのパイプ片1
2,13を連結する方法において、おす管切片5aをお
す管部分5の領域で適切に切断することで形成し、当該
おす管切片5aを溶接スリーブ16の凹部22,23に
挿入する。当該溶接スリーブ16は外輪18と内輪17
とを有し、内輪17はめす管部分4を越えて半径方向、
パイプ内へ突出していない。リング17,18の少なく
とも一方がおす管切片5aと溶接される。 【効果】 波形パイプを作るパイプ片の耐媒体性、即
ち、液密性で気密性の連結を達成するような溶接方法が
提供される。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、請求項1の前提部分に
従う、即ち、長手方向中央軸線の方向に交互に連続する
めす管部分とおす管部分並びにこれら両部分を連結する
実質的に半径方向に延びる横腹部を備える波形部分から
なる熱可塑性波形パイプの2つのパイプ片を溶接する方
法に関するものである。
【0002】
【従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題】通信工
学においては、主にポリエチレンの押し出し成形ソリッ
ドパイプが用いられている。当該パイプはガス管又は水
道管と同様に形成される。当該パイプは溶接スリーブに
よって連結され、しばしば耐媒体性、即ち液密性で気密
性である。当該パイプは収容するケーブルのための保護
機能しか供さないので、所謂波形パイプが少なくともよ
りコストパフォーマンスに優れて同じ機能を果たしう
る。このタイプの波形パイプがその波形パイプの幾何学
的形状によって等しい環状剛性を備えながら40〜60
%少ない材料で製造可能だからである。更にこのタイプ
の波形パイプは通信工学での保護パイプとして用いられ
るのに特に適している。なぜなら、その軸線方向におい
て、ケーブルがその相対的位置をその都度めす管部分に
のみ委ねるからである。ケーブル又は光波ガイドがその
ような波形パイプ内に引っ張られる場合に起こる摩擦力
は、ソリッドパイプの場合よりもほぼ30%低く、その
結果、パイプ片の長さを延長することができ、これは製
造されるべき溶接ジョイントの数を減らすこととなる。
【0003】しかし、耐媒体性を確実にするそのような
波形パイプの溶接は、その壁厚が比較的薄いために、今
日まで知られていない。
【0004】本発明の課題は、波形パイプを作るパイプ
片の耐媒体性連結を達成するような一般的タイプの溶接
方法を案出することにある。
【0005】
【課題を解決するための手段】この課題は請求項1の特
徴部分の構成によって解決される。本発明に従うやり方
によって、機械的に堅固でフラットな溶接が各パイプ片
の自由端をそれぞれ形成するおす管部分と溶接スリーブ
の少なくとも外輪又は内輪との間で生じる。溶接スリー
ブの内輪はめす管部分を越えて半径方向内側へ波形パイ
プ内に突き出ず、溶接ジョイントの近傍でもケーブルや
光波ガイドを引っぱる再の邪魔にならない。特に発明性
のある別の改良は下記する実施の態様に記載されてい
る。
【0006】本発明の更なる特徴、利点及び詳細は、図
面に関連した実施例の確かな記載から明らかになる。
【0007】
【実施例】図1に、所謂波形パイプ1の、換言すれば、
例えばポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等の溶接可能なプ
ラスチックからなるパイプの部分断面が示される。波形
パイプ1は長手方向中央軸線を有し、これと同心状に波
形パイプ1は波形部分3を備える。当該部分は、軸線2
に対して同心状に延在する実質的に環状のシリンダ形状
めす管部分4と、同じく軸線2に対して同心状に延在す
る実質的に環状のシリンダ形状に形成されたおす管部分
5とを有する。めす管部分4は、軸線2に対してほぼ半
径方向に延在する横腹部6又は7を介して隣接のおす管
部分5と連結する。おす管部分5とこれに相接する横腹
部6、7との間に、めす管部分4に対して(軸線2から
見て)半径方向外側にえぐれた窪み部8が形成される。
波形パイプ1全体は、ホースとして連続的に押し出さ
れ、所謂真空方法又は所謂吹き込み方法又は真空・吹き
込み方法にしたがって、エンドレスに移動する校正装置
上で波形形状となる。このタイプの校正装置は例えばド
イツ特許第1203940号公報及び第1211789
号公報(英国特許第971021号公報に相当する)か
ら公知である。
【0008】パイプがエンドレスに製造され、しかしエ
ンドレスに搬送できず、しかもそのようなパイプ内にケ
ーブルを引き込む目的に関してパイプ片の長さが限定さ
れるので、エンドレスな波形パイプ1は、分割されなけ
ればならない。これは、ブレード9によって波形パイプ
1がめす管部分4と当該部分に相接した横腹部6、7の
両側のカット10、11で分割され、その結果、(図2
から認識されるように)生じたパイプ片12、13がそ
の自由端で、軸線に対して半径方向に延在するフロント
表面を備えた環状のシリンダ形状おす管切片5aを有す
ることとなる。(他のものと位置調整して配置されたパ
イプ片12、13と共に)フロント表面は相互に直に隣
接し、換言すれば、等しい内径dと等しい外径Dとを有
する。
【0009】このタイプの2つのパイプ片12、13を
連結する目的で、溶接スリーブ16が図2〜4にしたが
う実施例において備えられ、当該スリーブは、ほぼシリ
ンダ状の内輪17と、距離をおいて当該内輪17を取り
囲み同様にほぼシリンダ状の外輪18とからなってい
る。これらは順に中間ウエブ19によって一体的に相互
連結される。溶接スリーブ16は波形パイプ1と同じ材
料、例えばポリエチレンからなっている。
【0010】外輪18と内輪17の間に、フロント面2
0、21の方向に開いた2つの環状凹部22、23が形
成され、当該凹部22、23は中間ウエブ19の方向に
僅かに窄んで形成されている。中間ウエブ19とフロン
ト面20又は21のそれぞれとの間の近傍で、最大の径
がDで、最小の径がdで、フロント表面14、15を有
するおす管切片5aを備えた2つのパイプ片12、13
を凹部22、23へ挿入する際、おす管切片5aは、図
3に示された位置、即ちフロント表面14、15が中間
ウエブ19からなお隔たっている位置に達する。
【0011】溶接スリーブ16の外輪18に、連結線2
5を介して電源と連結された電気抵抗加熱部24が配設
されている。この抵抗加熱部24を加熱する際に、外輪
18の素材と幾分中間ウエブ19とは溶融する。更に、
おす管切片5aの、凹部22、23に位置し外輪18に
接した要素領域は可塑化する。しかしながら溶接スリー
ブ16の内輪17は可塑化しない。加熱し可塑化する又
は溶融するプロセス中、2つのパイプ片12、13が矢
印26、27に従って相互に向かう方向で押圧される
と、凹部22、23に位置したおす管切片5aはこれら
凹部22、23内に十分押し込まれ、この場合にこれら
切片は、凹部22、23の全長にわたって当該凹部に挿
入するように変形し、これらのフロント表面14、15
が(いまや変化した形状で)中間ウエブ19に接し図4
で認識されるように当該ウエブとも溶接する。図4で更
に認識されるところとしては、溶接スリーブ16と共に
溶接したおす管切片5aが、溶接スリーブ16の外側、
各々隣接する横腹部6又は7に移行する箇所で僅かにア
プセットな部分28を有する。図4に示される2つパイ
プ片12、13の溶接スリーブ16との連結が達成され
た後、電流が切られ、可塑化したプラスチック物はこの
位置で固まり、これによって2つのパイプ片12、13
の耐媒体性の、換言すれば液密性で気密性の溶接が達成
される。溶接スリーブ16の内輪17が熱せられないの
で、当該内輪は溶接圧の下でも矢印26、27の方向に
変形しない。特に図4から認められるように、内輪17
はめす管部分4を越えて半径方向内側に突き出ない。
【0012】図5に示された溶接スリーブ16’は図2
〜4に示されたスリーブと、内輪17’に全面的に嵌め
込まれ例えば金属でなる環状の補剛嵌め込み材29が内
輪17’内に配設されている点のみで相違する。当該補
剛嵌め込み材29によって、内輪17’の、それ故溶接
スリーブ16’全体での剛性は、温度負荷の間、換言す
れば溶接の間、高められる。図2〜4に係る実施例と較
べて、その場合も著しい剛性が内輪17を加熱しないた
めに維持されるけれども、この剛性はより高い。
【0013】図6に係る実施例において、溶接スリーブ
16’は電気的抵抗の加熱部を備えず、換言すれば、そ
の外輪18''も波形パイプ1の材料のみからなる。電気
的抵抗の加熱部30は、その1つのパイプ片12のみ示
された各パイプ片毎に備えられる。この電気的抵抗の加
熱部30は、抵抗線材からなり図6から認識されるよう
にU形状に折られたヒータ帯31によって形成される。
このようにして、パイプ片12のフロント表面14を介
してそのおす管切片5aに押される。このおす管切片5
aは電気的抵抗の加熱部30と共に、溶接スリーブ1
6''の環状凹部22''内に押し込まれ、その外輪18''
は抵抗加熱部30の連結線33のための切り抜き部32
を有する。図6から認識されるように、対応する切り抜
き部32が別の環状凹部23''にも関連する。各凹部2
2''又は23''の中央領域でその都度、最大径D''と最
小の関連径d''はそれぞれ、おす管切片5aの対応する
それぞれの径D又はdよりも、僅かに大きいか、僅かに
小さい電気的抵抗の加熱部30によって更に拡大されて
いるか減少されているからである。この例で、溶接スリ
ーブ16''のそれぞれ凹部22''又は23''の境界を設
定するおす管切片5aと壁部分との相互に係止する表面
領域は、抵抗加熱部30によって直接可塑化される。溶
接スリーブ16''の剛性は、この場合、外輪18''の外
側領域によって残り、内輪17''の内側領域は熱せられ
ないか、僅かに熱せられるだけで、それ故可塑化しな
い。
【0014】溶接スリーブ16又は16’又は16''に
よって連結されるパイプ片12、13からなるパイプ
が、溶接スリーブ16、16’、16''の外輪18、1
8''が波形部分3を越えて突き出てはならない場所で、
挿入されるか取り付けられることがあってもよい。その
ような場合にこの外輪18又は18''は溶接プロセス五
にはぎ取られなければならない。そのような場合に申し
分のない溶接をそれにもかかわらず達成するために、溶
接は図6に従ってもたらされてもよい。この場合も内輪
17''がおす管切片5aと溶接されるので、溶接がなさ
れた後に外輪18''ははぎ取られる。しかしながら、図
7に従う溶接スリーブ16''' も使用可能で、これは図
2〜4に従う溶接スリーブ16と、電気的抵抗の加熱部
24''' が内輪17''' に形成され、そのような加熱部
が外輪18''' 内に配置されていない点のみが異なる。
この場合、外輪18''' は溶接プロセス中、必要な剛性
を溶接スリーブ16''' に与える役割を引き受ける。こ
の外輪18''' はそして溶接プロセス後、はぎ取られ
る。

  1. 【請求項1】 長手方向中央軸線の方向に交互に連続す
    るめす管部分(4)とおす管部分(5)並びにこれら両
    部分を連結する実質的に半径方向に延びる横腹部(6,
    7)を備える波形部分(3)からなる熱可塑性波形パイ
    プの2つのパイプ片を溶接する方法において、シリンダ
    形状のおす管切片(5a)で各々1つのフロント表面
    (14,15)で終端する2つのパイプ片(12,1
    3)が使用され、当該パイプ片(12,13)は、その
    おす管切片(5a)が、熱可塑性材の溶接スリーブ(1
    6,16’,16'',16''' )の環状凹部(22,2
    3;22'',23'')に押し込まれて、当該スリーブ
    (16,16’,16'',16''' )が、外輪(18,
    18'',18''' )と内輪(17,17' ,17'',1
    7''')とによって当該スリーブに収容された各おす管
