塑性プラスチック材料よりなる接続部材と、筒状体で前
記接続部材の一方の接続口に内装して電気融着される外
径を持つ接続端部を有した熱可塑性プラスチック材料よ
りなる中間部材とからなり、該中間部材の各接続端部に
前記接続部材の一方の接続口を装着し、該装着した各接
続部材の接続口側電熱線に通電して中間部材と各接続部
材を電気融着して一体化し、前記中間部材と一体化した
各接続部材の他方の接続口に接続プラスチック管を内装
して電気融着することを特徴とする電気融着式プラスチ
ック管継手である。

を形成したものであるため、特に大口径の管継手であっ
ても射出容量の大きな射出成形機や金型を用いなくても
管継手の製作が容易にでき、また製作時の成形作業が容
易に行なえる。また種々の形状の中間部材と電気融着接
合することによって、配管現場の状況に応じたエルボ、
チーズ等の各種形状の管継手や異径品の管継手を容易に
製作でき、配管現場で製作することも可能である。また
プラスチック管との接続作業においても、管継手の接続
口毎に通電して接続作業が行なえるため、大容量のコン
トローラを用意しなくとも接続でき、更に口径に応じた
電力を通電して適正な融着接続が行なえる。

で各種形状のものをあらかじめ射出成形で設けたもので
あり、端部の接続部材10、11がないのでそれだけ中
間部材60を形成する溶融樹脂の射出容量が少なくて済
み、大容量の射出成形機を必要とせずに形成することが
出来る。
中間部材60と接合された接続部材10、11のそれぞ
れの他半部内面にプラスチック管51を挿入した後、コ
ントローラ3をコネクターピン14に実線で示すごとく
接続して電熱線17に通電する。電熱線17はプラスチ
ック管51の挿入側継手本体の片側で一系統のため、発
熱面積は両側のプラスチック管51、52を同時に発熱
させるものに比べて半分で、コントローラ3の電力容量
も約半分のもので行え、また管51の口径や接続条件に
応じた適正な融着接続が行える。
ット形のものを用いることによって、各種のプラスチッ
ク管継手を容易に設けることができる。更に接続部の口
径が異なる異径ソケット等も容易に設けることができ
る。異径品の場合は管継手の接続口径によって接続口径
にもっとも適した電気エネルギーで電熱線に電力を供給
できる。
ラスチック管継手は、接続部材を中間部材のそれぞれの
端部に電気融着接合して一体化したものであるため、射
出容量の大きな射出成形機を必要とせず、またプラスチ
ック管との接続作業に際しても電力容量の小さなコント
ローラで大口径のプラスチック管と接続することができ
る。また各種形状の中間部材を用いることにより、異径
品や各種形状の管継手が容易にできる。更に口径に応じ
た電気エネルギーでプラスチック管との適正な接続状態
の融着接続が行える。

Claims (1)
- 【請求項1】 両端部内面にプラスチック管を内挿する
接続口を有し、該両接続口の内周側には接続口毎に埋設
した電熱線が螺旋状に巻回してあり、該接続口毎の電熱
線の両端部は接続口毎に外面に突出する夫々のコネクタ
ーピンに連結した熱可塑性プラスチック材料よりなる接
続部材と、 筒状体で前記接続部材の一方の接続口に内装して電気融
着される外径を持つ接続端部を有した熱可塑性プラスチ
ック材料よりなる中間部材とからなり、 該中間部材の各接続端部に前記接続部材の一方の接続口
を装着し、該装着した各接続部材の接続口側電熱線に通
電して中間部材と各接続部材を電気融着して一体化し、 前記中間部材と一体化した各接続部材の他方の接続口に
接続プラスチック管を内装して電気融着することを特徴
とする電気融着式プラスチック管継手。
