【産業上の利用分野】本考案は、合成樹脂管との融着接
合が簡単、かつ確実に行える管継手に関する。

【従来の技術】この種の管継手として、例えば特開昭6
2−255692号公報には、合成樹脂製継手本体の両
端部内面に電熱線を所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設し、該継手
本体の両端部に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿してから電熱線
に通電して発熱した電熱線で継手本体の内面と合成樹脂
管の端部外面とを同時に溶融させて融着接合する管継手
が提案されている。
2−255692号公報には、合成樹脂製継手本体の両
端部内面に電熱線を所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設し、該継手
本体の両端部に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿してから電熱線
に通電して発熱した電熱線で継手本体の内面と合成樹脂
管の端部外面とを同時に溶融させて融着接合する管継手
が提案されている。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、この管
継手は継手本体の両端部に合成樹脂管を嵌挿してから融
着接合するため、配管施工を行う現場の状況によっては
融着接合がうまく行えないことがあった。例えば、継手
本体の端部に合成樹脂管を嵌挿したとき、管端部が継手
本体の奥部まで十分に挿入されていることが確認できな
い。このため、管端部の挿入量が十分でない場合には融
着不良が発生し、配管施工後に管内流体が漏洩する等の
事故が発生することがあった。本考案は,かかる課題を
解決したものであって、合成樹脂管との融着接合が簡
単、かつ確実に行える管継手を提供するものである。
継手は継手本体の両端部に合成樹脂管を嵌挿してから融
着接合するため、配管施工を行う現場の状況によっては
融着接合がうまく行えないことがあった。例えば、継手
本体の端部に合成樹脂管を嵌挿したとき、管端部が継手
本体の奥部まで十分に挿入されていることが確認できな
い。このため、管端部の挿入量が十分でない場合には融
着不良が発生し、配管施工後に管内流体が漏洩する等の
事故が発生することがあった。本考案は,かかる課題を
解決したものであって、合成樹脂管との融着接合が簡
単、かつ確実に行える管継手を提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】本考案の管継手は、合成
樹脂製継手本体部の一端部内面に電熱線を所定間隔で螺
旋状に埋設すると共に、該電熱線の両端部を継手本体部
の外面に設けたコネクターのピンに接続し、また合成樹
脂製継手本体部の他端部外面に電熱線を所定間隔で螺旋
状に埋設したことを特徴とするものである。

【実施例】以下、本考案の実施例を図面にて詳細に説明
する。図1は本考案の一実施例を示す管継手の半断面図
であって、図中1はポリエチレン等の合成樹脂からなる
継手本体部である。継手本体部1は射出成形によって一
体的に成形されるものであって、該継手本体部1の一端
部には拡径受口が設けられている。この受口内面にはポ
リエチレン等の合成樹脂で外面被覆された電熱線2が所
定間隔で螺旋状に埋設されており、該電熱線2の両端部
は継手本体部1の外面に設けたコネクター3のピン31
に接続している。

に設けられた拡径受口に図示しないポリエチレン等の合
成樹脂管を嵌挿し、電熱線2を発熱させて融着接合す
る。そして、継手本体部1の他端部に、継手本体部1と
同種の合成樹脂からなる短管4の一端部を外挿し、管端
部が奥まで十分に外挿されていることを目視で確認して
から前記電熱線22の両端部に通電し、継手本体部1と
短管4とを融着接合する。また、短管4の他端部には、
例えば合成樹脂管6の端部をバット融着することができ
る。

【考案の効果】以上詳述した如く、本考案の管継手は、
合成樹脂製継手本体部の一端部内面に電熱線を埋設した
ので、該端部内に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿してから電熱
線に通電して発熱させるだけで継手本体部と合成樹脂管
とを強固に融着接合することができる。また、継手本体
部の他端部外面に電熱線を埋設したので、短管等の端部
を外挿し、継手本体部に管端部が十分に外挿されている
ことを確認してから電熱線に通電するだけで、確実かつ
強固に融着接合することができる。
合成樹脂製継手本体部の一端部内面に電熱線を埋設した
ので、該端部内に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿してから電熱
線に通電して発熱させるだけで継手本体部と合成樹脂管
とを強固に融着接合することができる。また、継手本体
部の他端部外面に電熱線を埋設したので、短管等の端部
を外挿し、継手本体部に管端部が十分に外挿されている
ことを確認してから電熱線に通電するだけで、確実かつ
強固に融着接合することができる。

- 【請求項1】 合成樹脂製継手本体部(1)の一端部内
面に電熱線(2)を所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設すると共
に、該電熱線(2)の両端部を継手本体部(1)の外面
に設けたコネクター(3)のピン(31)に接続し、ま
た合成樹脂製継手本体部(1)の他端部外面に電熱線
(22)を所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設したことを特徴とす
る管継手。
