(57)【要約】
【目的】 合成樹脂管同士を突き合わせて簡単、かつ確
実に融着接合できる電熱線を内蔵した管継手を提供す
る。 【構成】 合成樹脂製継手本体1の中央部外周にフラン
ジ12を設け、該フランジ12の両側に差口11を設け
ると共に、それぞれの差口11の外周面に電熱線2を所
定間隔で螺旋状に埋設する。 【効果】 合成樹脂管同士を管継手を介して簡単に突き
合わせ接続でき、電熱線に通電するだけで強固に融着接
合する。
実に融着接合できる電熱線を内蔵した管継手を提供す
る。 【構成】 合成樹脂製継手本体1の中央部外周にフラン
ジ12を設け、該フランジ12の両側に差口11を設け
ると共に、それぞれの差口11の外周面に電熱線2を所
定間隔で螺旋状に埋設する。 【効果】 合成樹脂管同士を管継手を介して簡単に突き
合わせ接続でき、電熱線に通電するだけで強固に融着接
合する。
Description
【0001】
本考案は、合成樹脂管同士を突き合わせて簡単に融着接合できる電熱線を内蔵 した管継手に関する。
【0002】
本件出願人は、先に実開平3ー25096号公報で、継手本体の中央部外周に フランジを設けると共に該フランジの両側に受口と差口を設け、前記フランジの 側面、受口の内周面および差口の外周面に電熱線を埋設した管継手を提案した。 しかしながら、この管継手は合成樹脂管の側壁から分岐管を取り出すときに用い るものであって、合成樹脂管同士を突き合わせ接続する場合には使用できなかっ た。このため、この種の配管施工分野では合成樹脂管同士を突き合わせてから簡 単に融着接合できる管継手の開発が望まれていた。
【0003】 本考案はかかる要望に則したものであって、合成樹脂管同士を突き合わせ接続 してから電熱線に通電するだけで簡単、かつ確実に融着接合できる管継手を提供 するものである。

本考案は、合成樹脂製継手本体の中央部外周にフランジを設け、該フランジの 両側に差口を設けると共に、それぞれの差口の外周面に電熱線を所定間隔で螺旋 状に埋設したことを特徴とするものである。

継手本体の両側に設けた差口の外周面に電熱線を埋設したので、それぞれの差 口に合成樹脂管の端部を外挿してから電熱線に通電すると、差口の外周面と合成 樹脂管の端部内周面とが溶融して融着接合する。

以下、本考案を図面にて詳細に説明する。 図1は本考案の一実施例を示す管継手の縦断面図、図2は図1に示した管継手に 合成樹脂管を接続した状態を示す縦断面図である。 図中1はポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブテン等の合成樹脂からなる継手 本体であって、該継手本体1の中央部外周にはフランジ12が設けられている。 フランジ12の両側には合成樹脂管4の端部が外挿される差口11が設けられて おり、該差口11の外周面は先窄まり状のテーパ面に形成されている。
【0007】 即ち、差口11の外周面は先端部の外径が合成樹脂管4の内径よりも若干小径で 、フランジ12の近傍位置で合成樹脂管4の内径よりも若干大径となるテーパ面 に形成されている。従って、合成樹脂管4の端部を差口11に外挿してから強く 押し込むと、合成樹脂管4の端面がフランジ12の側面と隙間なく当接する。
【0008】 また、差口11の外周面には電熱線2が所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設されており、該 電熱線2の両端部はフランジ12の外面に設けたコネクター3のピン31と接続 している。尚、図1には差口11の外周面にのみ電熱線2を埋設したものを例示 したが、フランジ12の側面まで連続して電熱線2を埋設してもよい。
【0009】 本考案の管継手は以上の構成からなるので、この管継手に合成樹脂管4を接続 する場合、図2に示した如く継手本体1の両側に設けた差口11にそれぞれの合 成樹脂管4の端部を外挿し、管端面がフランジ12に当接するまで押し込む。そ こで、コネクター3に電力線を接続し、電熱線2に通電して発熱させる。このと き、合成樹脂管4のサイズに応じて予め定められた電流を電熱線2に所定時間流 すと、差口11の外周面及び合成樹脂管4の端部内周面が過不足なく同時に溶融 し、両者が強固に融着接合する。また、フランジ12の側面まで連続して電熱線 2が埋設されている場合には、該電熱線2の発熱によって合成樹脂管4の端面と フランジ12の側面とが強固に融着接合する。

以上詳述した如く、本考案の管継手は合成樹脂製継手本体の両側に差口を設け ると共に、該差口の外周面に電熱線を埋設したので、それぞれの差口に合成樹脂 管の端部を外挿してから電熱線に通電するだけで、合成樹脂管同士を簡単、かつ 確実に融着接合することができる。
