Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は塩化ビニール樹脂等の熱可塑性樹脂で製された
管を接続する方法に関し、特に熱可塑性樹脂管を相互の
回転による摩擦熱を利用して相互に融着接合する接続方
法に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
値上のように、管を回転による摩擦熱を利用して他と相
互に融着接合する技術としては、従来例えば特開昭51
−118116号公報に記載の方法が知られている。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
しかしながら、上記公報記載の接合方法は、熱可塑性樹
脂管に熱可塑性樹脂からなる短管を回転摩擦により融着
し、この短管を係止部として他の熱可塑性樹脂管を接合
するもので、接合しようとする二管を回転摩擦熱を利用
して一気に接続するものではない。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本発明は接続しようとする二個の熱可塑性樹脂管を回転
摩擦熱を利用して一気に接続するものでその要旨は、二
個の熱可塑性樹脂管を接続するに当たり、二個の熱可塑
性樹脂管の間に熱可塑性樹脂で製された中間管を使用し
、二個の熱可塑性樹脂管の接続端部及び中間管の接続端
部のいずれか一方にテーパー付き受口が設けられ、熱可
塑性樹脂管又は中間管の接続端部の受口内に他方の接続
端部を挿入し、双方の熱可塑性樹脂管に夫々中間管に向
かう力を加えながら中間管を回転し、接合面における摩
擦熱により接合面を相互に融着させることを特徴とする
熱可塑性樹脂管の接続方法に存する。
以下、本発明を図面に示す実施例に基づいて説明する。
第1図において、1.1” は接続しようとする二個の
熱可塑性樹脂管であり、2は管1.1°よりも口径のや
や大なる中間管であって熱可塑性樹脂で製されている。
これらの管1、lo及び中間管2を構成する熱可塑性樹
脂としては、塩化ビニール樹脂、ポリエチレン、ポリプ
ロピレン等が使用できるが、管1.1”を構成する熱可
塑性樹脂と中間管を構成する熱可塑性樹脂とは同一の熱
可塑性樹脂を選択使用することが望ましい。
中間管2の双方の接続端部には、テーパーが付された受
口21が設けられている。管1.1”の接続端部には面
取しておくのが好ましい。
本発明により管1.1′を接続するには、中間管2の双
方の受口21に管1.1”を挿入し、管I、1°を回転
させないで管1.1′に中間管2に向けて(矢印a、a
’ 方向に)挿入する力を加えつつ中間管2のみを高速
回転すると、接合面において摩擦熱が発生し、その熱に
より接合面における熱可塑性樹脂が溶融し、管1.1゛
が第1図の二点鎖線で示すように中間管2の内部に深く
挿入される。
このような状態に至ったとき中間管2の回転を急停止す
るか、或いは管1.1″を中間管2の回転と一体に回転
させると管1、■” と中間管2は一体に融着接続され
る。
第1図に示す実施例においては、中間管2の「1径が管
1.1°の口径よりも大であってその接続端部に受口が
設けられているが、本発明においては、管1.1”の口
径を中間管2の口径よりも大とし、管1.1゛の接続端
部に夫々受口を設けてもよく、又、接続しようとする脂
管1.1° のうち一方の管1“の口径を大とし、中間
管2の口径を双方の管1.1”の口径の中間の大きさと
し、大なる口径を有する管1”の接続端部に受口を設け
てこの受口に中間管2の一端を挿入し、中間管2の他端
に受口を設けてこの受口に小なる口径の他の管1を挿入
して脂管1.1′を接続してもよい。
尚、第2図は本発明の他の実施例を示し、この実施例は
中間管としてT字管2゛を使用し、T字管の一直線上に
沿う本管部に接続しようとする脂管1.1°を本発明方
法により接続するものである。
又、第3図は接続しようとする脂管1、loのうちの一
方の管1ばT字管の分岐管部である本発明の他の実施例
を示し、第4図は脂管1.1”の一方の管1は曲がり管
である本発明の他の実施例を示すものである。
〔作用〕
本発明においては、接続しようとする脂管の間に中間管
を使用し、脂管及び中間管の接続端部のいずれか一方に
テーパー付き受口が設けられ、脂管又は中間管の該受口
内に他方の接続端部を挿入し、中間管を回転すると摩擦
熱により接合面が溶融し、双方の管が相互に融着接続す
る。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明においては、接続しようとする脂管に中間管に向
かう力を加えながら中間管を回転することにより、−挙
に脂管を接続することができ、前述の従来技術に比し短
時間に接続作業を終了することができ能率的である。
本発明においては、中間管のみを回転させればよいので
、接続操作が容易であり、回転させる装置は簡単なもの
ですむ。

乃至第4図は本発明の他の実施例を示す一部切欠正面図

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1、二個の熱可塑性樹脂管を接続するに当たり、二個の
    熱可塑性樹脂管の間に熱可塑性樹脂で製された中間管を
    使用し、二個の熱可塑性樹脂管の接続端部及び中間管の
    接続端部のいずれか一方にテーパー付き受口が設けられ
    、熱可塑性樹脂管又は中間管の接続端部の受口内に他方
    の接続端部を挿入し、双方の熱可塑性樹脂管に夫々中間
    管に向かう力を加えながら中間管を回転し、接合面にお
    ける摩擦熱により接合面を相互に融着させることを特徴
    とする熱可塑性樹脂管の接続方法
