(57)【要約】 【目的】 コルゲート管と被接続管とを簡単に融着接続
できる電気融着継手を提供する。 【構成】 螺旋状の凹凸を有するコルゲート管1aの端
部に合成樹脂製管継手2aを接続する。そして、前記合
成樹脂製管継手2aの他端部に受口22を設け、該受口
22の内周面に電熱線3を所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設する
と共に、該電熱線3の両端部を受口22の外周面に設け
たコネクター23の端子ピン4と接続する。 【効果】 電熱線を発熱させるだけでコルゲート管と被
接続管とを融着接合できるので、現場での配管施工が極
めて簡単に行なえる。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、電熱線を発熱させるだ
けでコルゲート管を簡単に融着接合できる電気融着継手
に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】従来から電線、電話線等のケーブルを地
中に埋設する場合、地中に保護管を埋設して該保護管内
にケーブルを挿通することが行なわれている。そして、
この保護管としては、長尺の金属製帯板を螺旋状に巻回
してその管外周面を合成樹脂で被覆したコルゲート管
や、螺旋状の凹凸を有する合成樹脂製のコルゲートが用
いられていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】ところで、このコルゲ
ート管同志を接続する場合には、例えばコルゲート管の
端部同志を突き合わせてそれぞれの端部外周面の凹凸面
にパテ等を塗布して平坦にならし、次にそれぞれの管端
部に跨がってゴムチューブを外挿してからその外周面を
半割部材で締め付けて接続する方法が採られていた。し
かしながら、この接続方法の場合には、手間がかかるた
めに接続作業が簡単に行えないという問題があった。
【0004】本発明はかかる課題を解決したものであっ
て、電熱線を発熱させるだけでコルゲート管を簡単に接
続できる電気融着継手を提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の電気融着継手
は、螺旋状の凹凸を有するコルゲート管の端部に合成樹
脂製管継手を接続したものであって、合成樹脂製管継手
の他端部に受口を設け、該受口の内周面に電熱線を所定
間隔で螺旋状に埋設すると共に、該電熱線の両端部を受
口の外周面に設けたコネクターの端子ピンと接続したこ
とを特徴とする。

【作用】上記の構成からなるので、合成樹脂製管継手の
受口に被接続管の端部を嵌挿してから電熱線に通電する
と、受口の内周面と被接続管の端部外周面とが溶融して
融着接合する。

【実施例】以下、本発明の実施例を図面にて詳細に説明
する。図1は本発明の一実施例を示す部分断面図、図2
は本発明の他の実施例を示す部分断面図であって、図中
1a,1bはコルゲート管、2a,2bは合成樹脂製管
継手である。
【0008】まず、図1に示した本発明の一実施例につ
いて説明する。コルゲート管1aは長尺の金属製帯板を
螺旋状に巻回して形成した金属管11の外周面をポリエ
チレン、ポリブテン等の合成樹脂層12で被覆したもの
であって、管壁には螺旋状の凹凸が設けられている。一
方、合成樹脂製管継手2aの一端部には螺旋状の凹凸を
有する接合部21が設けられており、該接合部21に前
記コルゲート管1aの端部が螺合して接着接合してい
る。また、合成樹脂製管継手2aの他端部には受口22
が設けられており、該受口22の内周面に電熱線3が所
定間隔をもって螺旋状に埋設されている。電熱線3の両
端部は受口22の外周面に突設したコネクター23の端
子ピン4と接続している。
【0009】この電気融着継手の受口22にポリエチレ
ン、ポリブテン等の合成樹脂からなる被接続管5aを接
続する場合、受口22に被接続管5aの端部を嵌挿し、
該受口22の外周面に突設したコネクター23の端子ピ
ン4に電源端子を接続してから電熱線3に通電して発熱
させる。すると、受口22の内周面と被接続管5aの端
部外周面とが同時に溶融して融着接合する。
【0010】図2に示した他の実施例のコルゲート管1
bは、ポリエチレン、ポリブテン等からなる合成樹脂管
の壁面に螺旋状の凹凸を設けたものである。また、合成
樹脂製管継手2bは前記実施例と同様にポリエチレン、
ポリブテン等の合成樹脂からなり、その両端部には受口
22が設けられている。また、それぞれの受口22の内
周面には電熱線3が所定間隔をもって螺旋状に埋設され
ており、該電熱線3の両端部は受口22の外周面に突設
したコネクター23の端子ピン4と接続している。
【0011】この実施例の電気融着継手は、コルゲート
管1bの端部外周面に感熱接着剤、または熱溶融型合成
樹脂シートの介在物6を接合して凹凸面を平坦してから
この管端部を合成樹脂製管継手2bの一端部の受口22
に嵌挿し、電熱線3を発熱させて融着接合したものであ
る。そして、合成樹脂製管継手2bの他端部の受口22
にコルゲート管1bと同様な構成からなる被接続管5b
を前記と同様にして融着接合できるようにしたものであ
る。

【発明の効果】以上詳述した如く、本発明の電気融着継
手は合成樹脂製管継手の他端部に設けた受口に被接続管
の端部を嵌挿してから電熱線を発熱させるだけで、コル
ゲート管と被接続管とを接続できるので、現場での配管
施工を極めて簡単に行なうことができる。

  1. 【請求項1】 螺旋状の凹凸を有するコルゲート管(1
    a,1b)の端部に合成樹脂製管継手(2a,2b)を
    接続した電気融着継手であって、前記合成樹脂製管継手
    (2a,2b)の他端部に受口(22)を設け、該受口
    (22)の内周面に電熱線(3)を所定間隔で螺旋状に
    埋設すると共に、該電熱線(3)の両端部を受口(2
    2)の外周面に設けたコネクター(23)の端子ピン
    (4)と接続したことを特徴とするコルゲート管の電気
    融着継手。
