Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 発明の対象 本発明は、情報出力システムに係り、特に文字
表示装置を有する情報出力システムに関するもの
である。
従来技術 従来の斯かる情報出力システムにおいては、上
位機器例えば中央処理装置等から文字表示装置等
の出力装置へは、出力起動時のみ多種の出力モー
ドが得られている。オフラインでのオペレータに
よる表示装置から出力装置への出力起動は、一種
の出力モードのみ可能である。オフラインでの多
種の出力モードを得るには、出力専用装置を多種
設けたり、一種の出力装置でスイツチを具備し、
表示装置のモードに合わせてオペレータが切替操
作をする等、非常にわずらわしいものとなつてい
る。
発明の目的 本発明の目的は、オペレータによる出力起動時
も上位機器からの出力起動時同様、オペレータの
手をわずらわすことなく、表示装置の表示モード
に自動的に出力装置の出力モードを合わせること
により結果的に多種の出力モードが得られる情報
出力システムを提供することにある。
発明の特徴 本発明は、業務形態に応じて行あたりの表示文
字数を任意に切り替える表示装置と、出力を担う
出力装置を組み合せる場合に於いて、最少限の構
成で人手をわずらわす事なく自動的に表示装置の
表示モードに合つた出力モードが得られる様にし
たものである。
発明の実施例 以下、本発明の一実施例を詳細に説明する。第
１図において、最初に上位機器から制御装置１に
出力起動があつた場合について説明する。上位機
器からのコマンドとデータは、回線アダプタ２で
受信し、編集制御回路３でコマンドの内容解析及
びデータの編集を行なわれる。内容を解析した結
果、表示装置６の表示モードをn1文字／行にする
コマンドであつた場合、テーブル４のT6の個所
にn1を記録する。一方、ターミナルアダプタ５を
介して表示装置６に編集後の表示データと表示モ
ード指令を送る。表示装置６では、表示モード指
令に従いn1文字／行でデータを表示する。上位機
器からの次の指令で表示モードがn2文字／行であ
つた場合は、テーブル４のT6の個所はn2となり、
表示装置６もまたn2文字／行の表示となる。
次に出力装置への起動について説明する。表示
の場合と同様に、上位機器からのコマンドとデー
タは、回線アダプタ２で受信し、編集制御回路３
でコマンドの内容解析及びデータの編集を行な
う。内容解析の結果、出力装置１３の出力モード
をn1文字／行にするコマンドであつた場合、テー
ブル４のT12の個所にn1を記録する。一方、ター
ミナルアダプタタ５を介して出力制御部１２に編
集後の出力データと出力モード指令を送る。出力
制御部１２では、受信制御回路８で指令内容を解
析し、切替器９に対し、ゲート１０あるいはゲー
ト１１のいずれか一方を選択する指示を与える。
ゲート１０は、n1文字／行で開き、ゲート１１
は、n2文字／行で開くものとする。上位より指示
された出力モードがn1文字／行であるためゲート
１０を開きn1文字／行モードで出力装置１３にデ
ータを送る。出力装置１３が印字装置の場合は、
n1文字／行のモードで印字が行なわれる。上位機
器からの次の指令でn2文字／行のモードであつた
場合は、テーブル４のT12の個所は、n2となり、
出力制御部１２のゲート１１が開き出力装置１３
は、n2文字／行の出力モードで出力動作が行なわ
れる。以上説明した背景に於いては、制御装置１
のテーブル４の内容は、上位機器からの指令通り
のものであつたが、このテーブルを利用し、次に
入力装置７からのオペレータによる出力起動につ
いて説明する。表示モードT6と出力モードT12
は、必ずしも一致していない。入力装置７からの
出力起動に対し、表示装置６の表示モードがn1文
字／行の場合は、制御装置１の編集制御回路３で
テーブル４のT12の個所をT6の内容に置き替え
る。一方表示装置６の表示データをターミナルア
ダプタ５で受信し、出力制御部１２に出力モード
指令とデータを送る。出力制御部１２は、先に説
明した通りゲート１０を開き出力装置１３にデー
タを送る。出力装置１３は、表示装置６の表示モ
ードと同じn1文字／行の出力モードで出力動作が
行なわれる。表示装置６の表示モードがn2文字／
行の場合も同様な動作が行なわれる。なお、本実
施例の出力制御部１２では説明を簡単にする為に
ゲート１０，１１により２種の出力モード切替え
を行なう場合について説明をしたが、ゲート数を
増やしｎ種の出力モードをサポートできることは
いうまでもない。
また、第２図に制御装置１内の一構成例を示
す。これによれば編集制御回路３としてマイクロ
プロセツサを使用し、回線アダプタ２、ターミナ
ルアダプタ５、テーブル４を格納しているメモリ
１４等をアドレス／データバス信号ａを介して接
続した構成としてもよい。
発明の効果 本発明によれば、最少限の構成要素でシステム
建設が可能であることは言うまでもなく、オペレ
ータのわずらわしい操作が排除可能である。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １ 多種の表示モードをサポートする表示装置
    と、多種の出力モードをサポートする出力装置
    と、前記表示装置の表示モードおよび前記出力装
    置の出力モードを定義するモード情報を格納する
    テーブルを備え、該モード情報により前記表示装
    置の表示モードおよび前記出力装置の出力モード
    を指示する制御装置とからなる情報出力システム
    に於いて、オペレータによる前記表示装置から前
    記出力装置への出力起動時に、前記テーブル内の
    前記出力装置の出力モード情報を前記表示装置の
    表示モード情報に書き換え、書き換えられた出力
    モードを前記出力装置に指示することを特徴とす
    る情報出力システム。
