Description
本発明による酸化物系固体電解質は、リチウム、ランタン、ジルコニウム、及び酸素を含むガーネット型酸化物であることができる。
本発明による全固体電池は当該全固体電池に化学的変化を引き起こさない物質であれば、正極活物質に制限がない。本発明による全固体電池は、好ましくはニッケルコバルトマンガン(以下、NCMという)系正極活物質を含むことができる。前記NCMはLiaNixCoyMnzO2(0.6≦a≦1.2、0≦x≦1.0、0≦y≦1.0、0≦z≦1.0、x+y+z=1.0)の構造を有することができるが、これに限定されない。また、前記コバルトは、マンガン、アルミニウム、銅、鉄、マグネシウム、ホウ素、ガリウムに置換されることができる。
本発明による全固体電池は、LiBO2、LiB3O5、Li3B2O4、Li2B4O7、Li2B6O10、Li2B8O13、Li3BO3、Li4B2O5、Li6B4O9、Li3B11O18のうちの少なくとも1種を異種酸化物として使うか、これらのうちの少なくとも1種とLi2CO3またはLi2CO3-Li2SO4との複合体を使うことができる。

(3)2LiOH・H2O+CO2→Li2CO3+3H2O
本発明による電極に使用する導電材は炭素系であり、導電材は当該電池に化学的変化を引き起こさないながらも導電性を有するものであれば、特に限定されるものではなく、例えば、天然黒鉛、人造黒鉛などの黒鉛;カーボンブラック、アセチレンブラック、ケッチェンブラック、チャネルブラック、ファーネスブラック、ランプブラック、サーマルブラックなどのカーボンブラック;炭素繊維、金属繊維などの導電性繊維;フッ化カーボン、アルミニウム、ニッケル粉末などの金属粉末;酸化亜鉛、チタン酸カリウムなどの導電性ウィスカー;酸化チタンなどの導電性金属酸化物;及びポリフェニレン誘導体などの導電性素材などからなる群から選択されるいずれか1種またはこれらのうちの1種以上を挙げることができる。
本発明による全固体電池に使用するバインダーは本発明で特に限定されなく、公知の物質を使うことができる。N,N-ビス[3-(トリエトキシシリル)プロピル]ウレア、ポリエチレンオキシド(PEO)、ポリ(ビニリデンフルオリド)(PVDF)、及びポリ(ビニリデンフルオリド-コ-ヘキサフルオロプロピレン)(PVDF-co-HFP)からなる群から選択されるいずれか1種またはこれらのうちの2種以上の混合物であるか、またはN,N-ビス[3-(トリエトキシシリル)プロピル]ウレア、ポリエチレンオキシド(PEO)、ポリ(ビニリデンフルオリド)(PVDF)、ポリ(ビニリデンフルオリド-コ-ヘキサフルオロプロピレン)(PVDF-co-HFP)、アクリロニトリル系スチレンブタジエンゴム(SBR)、アクリロニトリルブタジエンゴム(NBR)、メタクリル酸メチルブタジエンゴム(MBR)、ブタジエンゴム(BR)などの共役ジエン系ゴムラテックス、カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)、澱粉、ヒドロキシプロピルセルロース、再生セルロース、ポリビニルピロリドン、テトラフルオロエチレン、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、エチレン-プロピレン-ジエンテルポリマー(EPDM)、スルホン化EPDM、スチレン-ブタジエンゴム、フッ素ゴム、及び多様な共重合体からなる群から選択されるいずれか1種またはこれらのうちの2種以上の混合物であることができる。
本発明による全固体電池に使われる溶媒は処理温度で液体であり、本発明の正極、負極、及び固体電解質に使用された物質に対しては不活性であることが好ましい。溶媒としては、例えば、トルエン、キシレン、ナフサ、ベンゼン、クロロベンゼン、N-メチルピロリドン、アセトニトリル、アクリロニトリル、テトラヒドロフラン、シクロペンチルメチルエーテル、トリエチルアミン、及びトリブチルアミンからなる群及びこれらの混合溶媒からなる群から選択される1種などを挙げることができる。芳香族炭化水素がより好ましく、トルエンがより好ましい。
正極集電体は当該全固体電池に化学的変化を引き起こさないながらも高導電性を有するものであれば特に限定されなく、例えば、ステンレススチール、アルミニウム、ニッケル、チタン、焼成炭素、またはアルミニウムまたはステンレススチールの表面にカーボン、ニッケル、チタン、銀などで表面処理したものを使うことができる。
負極集電体は全固体電池に化学的変化を引き起こさないながらも導電性を有するものであれば特に限定されなく、例えば、銅、ステンレススチール、アルミニウム、ニッケル、チタン、焼成炭素、銅またはステンレススチールの表面にカーボン、ニッケル、チタン、銀などで表面処理したもの、アルミニウム-カドミウム合金などを使うことができる。また、前記負極集電体は、正極集電体と同様に、表面に微細な凹凸が形成されたフィルム、シート、ホイル、ネット、多孔質体、発泡体、不織布体などの多様な形態を使うことができる。
本発明による全固体電池の製造方法は、(S1)前記異種酸化物を含むコーティング用混合物を製造する段階、及び(S2)前記(S1)で製造されたコーティング用混合物を正極活物質及び/または酸化物系固体電解質にコーティングする段階を含むことができる。

Claims (9)
- 酸化物系固体電解質層、酸化物系固体電解質を含む正極、及び負極を含む全固体電池であって、
前記正極は、酸化物系固体電解質及び正極活物質粒子のうちの少なくとも一方に、異種酸化物を含むコーティング層が形成されており、
前記酸化物系固体電解質は、リチウム、ランタン、ジルコニウム、及び酸素を含むガーネット型酸化物を含み、
前記異種酸化物は、LBC(Li 3 BO 3 -Li 2 CO 3 )であり、
前記酸化物系固体電解質及び前記正極の焼結温度は680℃以下である、全固体電池。
- 前記正極は、異種酸化物を含むコーティング層が形成された正極活物質を含むコーティング層を有する酸化物系固体電解質、または異種酸化物を含むコーティング層が形成された酸化物系固体電解質を含むコーティング層を有する正極活物質をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の全固体電池。
- 互いに接する前記酸化物系固体電解質及び前記正極のうちの少なくとも一表面に前記異種酸化物を含むコーティング層が形成されている、請求項1又は2に記載の全固体電池。
- 前記正極は導電材をさらに含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の全固体電池。
- 前記正極活物質は、Li[NixCo1-x-yMny]O2(0≦x≦1.0、0≦y≦1.0、0≦z≦1.0、x+y+z=1.0)またはLiaNixCoyMnzO2(0.6≦a≦1.2、0≦x≦1.0、0≦y≦1.0、0≦z≦1.0、x+y+z=1.0)を含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の全固体電池。
- 前記ガーネット型酸化物はペレット型である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の全固体電池。
- 請求項1に記載の全固体電池を製造する方法であって、
(S1)前記異種酸化物を含むコーティング用混合物を製造する段階と、
(S2)前記(S1)で製造されたコーティング用混合物を使って正極活物質及び/または酸化物系固体電解質をコーティングする段階と、
を含む、全固体電池の製造方法。 - 前記(S2)のコーティングは湿式コーティングまたは乾式コーティングを含む、請求項7に記載の全固体電池の製造方法。
- 前記ガーネット型酸化物はペレット型である、請求項7または8に記載の全固体電池の製造方法。
