Claims (14)
- 媒体に対してインクジェット方式で印刷を行う印刷装置であって、
インク滴をインクジェット方式で吐出する複数のインクジェットヘッドと、
紫外線を照射する紫外線光源と
を備え、
前記複数のインクジェットヘッドのそれぞれは、互いに異なる色のインクのインク滴を吐出し、かつ、紫外線を吸収する紫外線吸収剤と、前記紫外線吸収剤を溶解又は分散させる溶媒とを含むインクのインク滴を吐出することにより、前記媒体上に前記インクを付着させ、
前記インクは、前記溶媒を蒸発させることで前記媒体に定着するインクであり、
前記紫外線光源は、前記媒体上に付着した前記互いに異なる色のインクに紫外線を照射することで、前記紫外線吸収剤から熱を発生させ、その熱により、異なる色のインクが混じり合うことで生じる色間滲みが生じないように、前記インクに含まれる前記溶媒の少なくとも一部を揮発除去することを特徴とする印刷装置。 - 前記紫外線光源は、前記媒体において前記インクジェットヘッドと対向する領域の外にあるインクへ紫外線を照射することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の印刷装置。
- 前記紫外線光源は、前記媒体上の同じ位置に対する紫外線の連続照射時間が前記媒体の放熱の熱時定数よりも短い時間になるように、前記媒体上の前記インクに紫外線を照射することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の印刷装置。
- 前記媒体を加熱するヒータを更に備え、
前記紫外線光源は、前記ヒータにより加熱される前記媒体上の前記インクに紫外線を照射することにより、前記ヒータと共に前記インクに含まれる前記溶媒の少なくとも一部を揮発除去することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の印刷装置。 - 前記インクは、前記紫外線吸収剤を、0.05〜2重量%の範囲で含むことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の印刷装置。
- 前記紫外線吸収剤は、ベンゾトリアゾール系紫外線吸収剤、液状紫外線吸収剤、トリアジン系紫外線吸収剤、ベンゾフェノン系紫外線吸収剤、ベンゾエート系紫外線吸収剤、又はベンゾイミダゾール系紫外線吸収剤であることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の印刷装置。
- 前記紫外線光源は、紫外線を発生する半導体を用いた光源であることを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の印刷装置。
- 前記媒体は、前記溶媒を揮発除去する前の前記インクを吸収する性質の媒体であることを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の印刷装置。
- 前記媒体は、布の媒体であり、
前記印刷装置は、前記媒体の両面に対して印刷を行うことを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の印刷装置。 - 前記媒体は、滲み防止のための前処理を行っていない布の媒体であることを特徴とする請求項1から9のいずれかに記載の印刷装置。
- 前記媒体は、インクの受像層を形成していない浸透性の媒体であることを特徴とする請求項1から10のいずれかに記載の印刷装置。
- 前記インクは、色材として染料を含むインクであり、
前記インクは、前記染料を発色させる助剤を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の印刷装置。 - 前記インクは、色材として染料を含むインクであり、
前記染料を発色させる助剤を含むインクのインク滴を吐出するインクジェットヘッドを更に備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の印刷装置。 - 媒体に対してインクジェット方式で印刷を行う印刷方法であって、
インク滴をインクジェット方式で吐出する複数のインクジェットヘッドと、
紫外線を照射する紫外線光源と、
を用い、
前記複数のインクジェットヘッドのそれぞれにより、互いに異なる色のインクのインク滴を吐出し、かつ、紫外線を吸収する紫外線吸収剤と、前記紫外線吸収剤を溶解又は分散させる溶媒とを含むインクのインク滴を吐出することにより、前記媒体上に前記インクを付着させ、
前記インクは、前記溶媒を蒸発させることで前記媒体に定着するインクであり、
前記紫外線光源により、前記媒体上に付着した前記互いに異なる色のインクに紫外線を照射することで、前記紫外線吸収剤から熱を発生させ、その熱により、異なる色のインクが混じり合うことで生じる色間滲みが生じないように、前記インクに含まれる前記溶媒の少なくとも一部を揮発除去することを特徴とする印刷方法。
