Description
本出願は、2013年6月5日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/831323号に対するおよび2013年8月23日出願の欧州特許出願第131815979号に対する優先権を主張するものであり、これらの出願のそれぞれの全内容は、あらゆる目的のために参照により本明細書に援用される。
−少なくとも20重量パーセントの少なくとも1つのポリマーと、
−少なくとも20重量パーセントのガラス繊維と
を含む、ポリマー組成物(C)であって、
ガラス繊維が非円形断面およびASTM C1557−03に従って測定されるように少なくとも76GPaの弾性率を有する、ポリマー組成物(C)に関する。
ポリマー組成物(C)は、ポリマー組成物(C)の総重量を基準として、少なくとも20重量パーセントの少なくとも1つのポリマーを含む。前記ポリマーの本質は、本明細書で以下に詳述される。
語句「ポリアミド」は、少なくとも1つのジカルボン酸成分(もしくはその誘導体)と、少なくとも1つのジアミン成分との重縮合、ならびに/またはアミノカルボン酸および/もしくはラクタムの重縮合から誘導される繰り返し単位(RPA)を含む任意のポリマーを意味することを意図する。
ポリエステルは、少なくとも50モル%、好ましくは少なくとも85モル%の、(式:R−(C=O)−OR’で一般に表される)少なくとも1つのエステル部分を含む繰り返し単位(RPE)を含むポリマーを意味することを意図する。ポリエステルは、少なくとも1つのエステル部分を含む環状モノマー(MA)の開環重合によって;少なくとも1つのヒドロキシル基と少なくとも1つのカルボン酸基とを含むモノマー(MB)の重縮合によって、または少なくとも2つのヒドロキシル基を含む少なくとも1つのモノマー(MC)(ジオール)と少なくとも2つのカルボン酸基を含む少なくとも1つのモノマー(MD)(ジカルボン酸)との重縮合によって得ることができる。
スルホンポリマーは、その繰り返し単位(RSP)の少なくとも50%モルが、式(SP):
−Ar−SO2−Ar’− 式(SP)

ポリアリーレンスルフィドは、繰り返し単位を含み、前記繰り返し単位の50%モル超が、Ar−S基(Arは芳香族基である)を含む繰り返し単位(RPAS)である任意のポリマーを意味することを意図する。特に明記しない限り、Ar基は、置換もしくは非置換であり得る。さらに、特に明記しない限り、ポリフェニレンスルフィドは、ポリマー中に任意の異性体関係のスルフィド結合を含むことができ;例えば、アリーレン基がフェニレン基である場合にはスルフィド結合は、オルト、メタ、パラ、またはそれらの組み合わせであり得る。

上記のポリマーに加えて、ポリマー組成物(C)はまた、非円形断面およびASTM C1557−03に従って測定されるように少なくとも76GPaの弾性率を有する少なくとも1つの特有のガラス繊維を含む。
ポリマー組成物(C)は任意選択的に、紫外線安定剤、熱安定剤、酸化防止剤、顔料、加工助剤、潤滑剤、難燃剤、ならびに/またはカーボンブラックおよびカーボンナノフィブリルなどの導電性添加剤などの追加の添加剤をさらに含んでもよい。
ポリマー組成物(C)は、ある種の造形品、特に携帯電子デバイスの部品の製造に好適である。
ポリアミド1(PA1):RADIPOL(登録商標)A45としてRADICI GROUPから商業的に入手可能な、ヘキサメチレンジアミンとアジピン酸との重合によって得られるPA6,6。
ポリアミド2(PA2):IXEF(登録商標)PARAとしてSOLVAY SPECIALTY POLYMERS USA、LLCから商業的に入手可能な、メタ−キシリレンジアミンとアジピン酸との重合によって得られるPA MXD6。
ポリアミド3(PA3):RADIPOL(登録商標)DC 45 DとしてRADICI GROUPから商業的に入手可能な、ヘキサメチレンジアミンとセバシン酸との重合によって得られるPA 6,10。
ガラス繊維1(GF1):3.1のアスペクト比、3mmのストランド長さおよびASTM C1557−03に従って測定されるように85GPaの弾性率を有する高弾性率ガラスで製造されたチョップド扁平繊維。繊維(ならびに以下のもの)の寸法は、Euromex光学顕微鏡および画像解析ソフトウェア(Image Focus 2.5)を用いて、繊維断面の最長(幅)および最小(高さ)寸法を測定し、第1数を第2数で割ることによって測定した。
ガラス繊維2(GF2):2.4のアスペクト比、3mmの呼びストランド長さおよびASTM C1557−03に従って測定されるように85GPaの弾性率を有するチョップド扁平繊維。
ガラス繊維3(GF3):日東紡績株式会社、日本国からNITTOBO CSG3PA−820として商業的に入手可能な、4のアスペクト比、3mmの呼びストランド長さ、アミノシランサイジングおよびASTM C1557−03に従って測定されるように75GPaの弾性率を有するチョップド扁平繊維。
ガラス繊維4(GF4):OWENS CORNINGからOCVTM EC10 4.5mm 995として商業的に入手可能な、10μmの断面直径、4.5mmのストランド長さ、アミノシランサイジングおよびASTM C1557−03に従って測定されるように75GPaの弾性率を有するチョップド円形繊維。
ガラス繊維5(GF5):OWENS CORNINGからOCVTM CS HP XSS PAX95として商業的に入手可能な、10μmの断面直径、4.7mmのストランド長さ、アミノシランサイジングおよびASTM C1557−03に従って測定されるように88GPaの弾性率を有するチョップド円形繊維。
ガラス繊維6(GF6):6μmの断面直径、3mmの呼びストランド長さ、アミノシランサイジングおよびASTM C1557−03に従って測定されるように85GPaの弾性率を有するチョップド円形繊維。
顔料:Plasblack UN 2014(50%のカーボンブラックベースのマスターバッチ)。
潤滑剤:Barlocher製のステアリン酸Ca、Ceasit−1。
上記のポリアミド樹脂を、減量フィーダーによって10ゾーンを含むZSK−30二軸スクリュー押出機の第1バレルに供給した。バレル設定は260〜290℃の範囲にあり、樹脂はゾーン5の前に溶解した。他の原料は、減量フィーダーによってサイドスタッファーを通してゾーン8で供給した。スクリュー速度は300rpmであった。押出物を、従来の装置を用いて冷却し、ペレット化した。結果を、使用された樹脂のそれぞれと、重量%で与えられる各原料の量とを示す、表1にまとめる。
Claims (7)
- ポリマー組成物(C)の総重量を基準として、
−少なくとも20重量パーセントの少なくとも1つのポリマーと、
−少なくとも20重量パーセントのガラス繊維と
を含むポリマー組成物(C)であって、
ガラス繊維が非円形断面およびASTM C1557−03に従って測定したときに少なくとも80GPaの弾性率を有し、
少なくとも1つのポリマーが、PA6、PA 6,6、PA 6,6/6およびPA6,10からなる群から選択される第1ポリアミドとPA MXD6である第2ポリアミドとのブレンドである、
ポリマー組成物(C)。 - ガラス繊維が、2〜6のアスペクト比を有する、請求項1に記載のポリマー組成物(C)。
- ガラス繊維が、ポリマー組成物(C)の総重量を基準として、30〜70重量%の量で存在する、請求項1または2に記載のポリマー組成物(C)。
- 少なくとも1つのポリマーを溶融させ、その後溶融ポリマーにガラス繊維を混ぜ合わせる工程を含む請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のポリマー組成物(C)の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のポリマー組成物(C)を含む物品。
- 前記物品が、携帯電子デバイスの部品である、請求項5に記載の物品。
- 携帯電子デバイスが、携帯電子電話、携帯情報端末、ラップトップコンピュータ、タブレットコンピュータ、ラジオ、カメラ、時計、計算器、音楽プレーヤー、グローバル・ポジショニング・システム受信機、携帯ゲーム機、ハード・ドライブおよび他の電子記憶装置からなる群から選択される、請求項6に記載の携帯電子デバイスの部品。
