PS−VA(PS:高分子安定化)混合物の調製において、例1からの混合物を振動混合機、例えば、Collomix社製の2軸混合機に、式Aの反応性メソゲンと共に導入し、室温で90分間均一化して液晶混合物を得た。これを混合ドラムの底の流出口バルブよりドラム中に直接分注する。
TN−TFT混合物の調製において、下に与えられる第1〜14番の個々の物質およびキラルドーパント15を振動混合機、例えば、Collomix社製の2軸混合機の混合ドラムに導入し、室温で60分間均一化して、1.1kgの均一な液晶混合物を得た。これを、混合ドラムの底の流出口バルブよりドラム中に直接分注する。
PS−VA(PS:高分子安定化)混合物の調製において、例1からの混合物を振動混合機、例えば、Collomix社製の2軸混合機に、式Bの反応性メソゲンと共に導入し、室温で90分間均一化して液晶混合物を得た。これを、混合ドラムの底の流出口バルブよりドラム中に直接分注する。
Claims (16)
- 少なくとも2種類の有機物質の均一な液晶混合物を調製する方法であって、
前記有機物質の少なくとも1種類は室温において固体状であり、
前記固体状の有機物質の少なくとも1種類の融点より低い温度において、互いに垂直な2本の軸(7)および(8)の周りを回転する混合ドラム(4)中で、毎分150回転〜毎分350回転の回転速度で、加熱せず、溶媒を添加せず混合することにより、混合される物質が液化され均一化され、
ただし前記有機物質のうち、少なくとも1種類の有機物質はメソゲン化合物である方法。 - 前記回転速度が毎分170回転以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記有機物質のうち少なくとも2種類の有機物質が、それぞれメソゲン化合物であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記有機物質のうち少なくとも3種類の有機物質の均一な液晶混合物を調製する方法であって、
前記有機物質の少なくとも2種類は室温において固体状であり、
前記有機物質の少なくとも1種類は室温において液体状である

- 前記混合ドラムが、内向きに突き出た内部構造物および/または流れ撹乱体を壁および/または蓋に有することを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 液晶混合物の特性を記録し、前記混合ドラム(4)を制御することを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記メソゲン化合物が、1種類以上の液晶化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 酸化防止剤、UV安定剤、フリーラジカル捕捉剤、二色性染料、ナノ粒子、微粒子およびドーパントから成る群より選択される1種類以上の助剤の存在下で、前記有機物質が均一化されることを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記メソゲン化合物は、それぞれ、式Iの化合物より選択されることを特徴とする請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
R1およびR2は、それぞれ互いに独立に、H、15個までの炭素原子を有するアルキル基を表し、該基は置換されていないか、CNまたはCF3によって一置換されているか、またはハロゲンによって少なくとも一置換されており、ただし加えて、これらの基の中の1個以上のCH2基は、酸素原子が互いに直接結合しないようにして、−O−、−S−、
環A、B、C、DおよびEは、それぞれ互いに独立に、以下を表し、
Z1〜4は、それぞれ互いに独立に、−CO−O−、−O−CO−、−CF2O−、−OCF2−、−CH2O−、−OCH2−、−CH2CH2−、−(CH2)4−、−CH=CH−CH2O−、−C2F4−、−CH2CF2−、−CF2CH2−、−CF=CF−、−CH=CF−、−CF=CH−、−CH=CH−、−C≡C−または単結合を表し、

L、RaおよびRbは、それぞれ互いに独立に、H、ハロゲン、SF5、NO2、炭素基または炭化水素基で、ただし、化合物は、P−Sp−基を表すかまたは含むL、RaおよびRbの少なくとも1個の基を含み、
R0およびR00は、それぞれ互いに独立に、Hまたは1〜12個の炭素原子を有するアルキル基を表し、
Pは、重合性基を表し、
Spは、スペーサー基または単結合を表し、
mは、0、1、2、3または4を表し、
