Description
Claims (6)
- 転写体の表面上に形成されたトナーによる可視画像のトナー量を検知するトナー量検知センサーであって、
前記転写体の表面側に向かって所定の入射角度で光を照射する発光素子と、
前記転写体の表面に垂直な方向に延びる平面に対して前記発光素子と反対側に設けられ、前記転写体の表面側から反射された反射光を受光する第一の受光素子と、
前記第一の受光素子によって受光した前記反射光の光量から前記トナー量を算出するトナー量算出部とを備え、
前記転写体の表面に垂直な方向に延びる平面に対する前記所定の入射角度を角度A1とし、前記転写体の表面に垂直な方向に延びる平面に対する前記第一の受光素子の配置される角度を角度A2とすると、A1<A2<1.5A1の関係を有し、
前記角度A 1 は、10°以上12°未満の範囲内にあり、
前記角度A 2 は、12°以上15°以下の範囲内にある、トナー量検知センサー。 - 前記第一の受光素子と別途設けられており、前記転写体の表面側から反射された反射光を受光する第二の受光素子を備え、
前記転写体の表面に垂直な方向に延びる平面に対する前記第二の受光素子の配置される角度を角度A3とすると、前記第二の受光素子が前記転写体の表面に垂直な方向に延びる平面に対して前記発光素子と反対側に設けられる場合はA3>2A1の関係を有し、前記第二の受光素子が前記転写体の表面に垂直な方向に延びる平面に対して前記発光素子と同じ側に設けられる場合はA3>A1の関係を有する、請求項1に記載のトナー量検知センサー。 - 前記発光素子は、前記転写体の表面側に向かって偏光を照射し、
前記第一の受光素子は、前記転写体の表面側から反射された反射光の偏光を受光し、
前記トナー量算出部は、前記第一の受光素子によって受光された前記反射光の偏光の光量から前記トナー量を算出する、請求項1または2に記載のトナー量検知センサー。 - 前記発光素子によって照射される光は、赤外光を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のトナー量検知センサー。
- 前記転写体は、転写ベルトを含み、
前記転写ベルトの材質は、ポリアミド樹脂、ポリアミドイミド樹脂、ポリイミド樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂、ウレタンゴム、およびヒドリンゴムのうちの少なくともいずれか一つを含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のトナー量検知センサー。 - トナーによる可視画像を形成し、転写体の表面上に形成されたトナーによる可視画像のトナー量を検知するトナー量検知センサーを備える画像形成部を含む画像形成装置であって、
前記トナー量検知センサーは、前記転写体の表面側に向かって所定の入射角度で光を照射する発光素子と、
前記転写体の表面側に向かって所定の入射角度で光を照射する発光素子と、
前記転写体の表面に垂直な方向に延びる平面に対して前記発光素子と反対側に設けられ、前記転写体の表面側から反射された反射光を受光する第一の受光素子と、
前記第一の受光素子によって受光した前記反射光の光量から前記トナー量を算出するトナー量算出部とを備え、
前記転写体の表面に垂直な方向に延びる平面に対する前記所定の入射角度を角度A1とし、前記転写体の表面に垂直な方向に延びる平面に対する前記第一の受光素子の配置される角度を角度A2とすると、A1<A2<1.5A1の関係を有し、
前記角度A 1 は、10°以上12°未満の範囲内にあり、
前記角度A 2 は、12°以上15°以下の範囲内にある、画像形成装置。
