Abstract
Description
たとえば、特許文献1に係るペダル装置(以下「先行技術1」と記す。)は、踏み込み操作するブレーキペダルに補助ペダルを連接して、補助ペダルに横方向へ操作するアクセルパッドを配設し、このアクセルパッドによりアクセル機構を操作するものである。また、特許文献2に係るペダル装置(以下「先行技術2」と記す。)は、ブレーキペダルに設けた軸部に回動可能に軸承されたアクセルペダルを足で回動させてアクセル機構を操作するものである。
(1)既設のブレーキペダルを改造することなくこれに容易に装着可能であるため、導入コストを低減できる。(2)踏面までの距離を変化させないため、運転者の膝の位置も変わらず、先行技術のように足全体への負担を増加させない。(3)右足の踵をフロアに付けた状態でスムーズにブレーキ及びアクセルの操作が行える。また、先行技術のように右足を車体の中央寄りに置かず、従来通りの自然な運転姿勢が保てるため、長時間の運転の疲労や心理的な違和感を軽減できる。さらに、左旋回時等において必要に応じて右足も姿勢保持に使用できるため、運転姿勢の安定性が高まる。(4)ベースの方向に上下・前後それぞれ角度を設けることにより、制動時においてアクセル閉方向への付勢が強化されるため、制動の確実性が向上する。また、アクセルパッドとブラケットが一体として既設のブレーキペダルに取り付けられているため、事実上ブレーキペダルとしての踏面が拡大しており、ペダル装置のどこを踏んでもブレーキが掛かるという点でも制動の確実性が向上する。(5)外形上フレームとアクセルパッドのみからなる小型で簡易な構造であり、外部に装置が露出していないため、車室内の構造との干渉や異物が挟まるおそれ、誤操作や故障の可能性も小さい。

Claims (2)
- 既設のブレーキペダルに装着可能なブラケットと該ブラケットから右方向に突出させたベースとからなるフレームと、該ベース上面に設けたスライド機構を介してベース上を左右に滑動可能に取り付けたアクセルパッドと、該アクセルパッドの位置を自動車のアクセル装置に伝達する伝達手段とを備えたペダル装置であって、前記ベースは前記ブラケットに向けて下る方向に傾斜させてなり、前記アクセルパッドは最も左に位置した状態において踏面がブレーキペダルの踏面よりも高くない形状とし、前記アクセルパッドを左方向へと付勢する付勢手段を備えることを特徴とするペダル装置。
- 前記ベースを右端が運転者側寄りとなる角度で前記ブラケットに設けてなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のペダル装置。
