Description
〔実施例1〕:負極活物質の製造
直径25mmの炭素棒の中を掘って内部直径22mmの空洞を形成した後、Si粉末およびSiO2粉末を2.5:1重量比で混合した混合粉末で前記空洞を満たして原料物質を準備した。前記原料物質をアーク放電器に装着し空気を取り除いて真空状態にした後にHeガスを満たした。
炭素棒の中にSi粉末およびSiO2粉末の含量比を2:1重量比に混合して使用した点を除いては、実施例1と同様にナノ粉末を収集した。
炭素棒の中にSi粉末およびSiO2粉末の含量比を1.5:1重量比に混合して使用した点を除いては、実施例1と同様にナノ粉末を収集した。
炭素棒の中にSi粉末およびSiO2粉末の含量比を1:1重量比に混合して使用した点を除いては、実施例1と同様にナノ粉末を収集した。
前記実施例1〜4で製造されたナノ粉末を負極活物質として使用して2016コイン型半電池(coin−type half cell)を製造した。負極は、活物質:導電材:バインダーを80:10:10重量比で溶媒中に混合して負極活物質組成物を製造し、この負極活物質組成物をCu箔電流集電体にコーティングして製造した。前記導電材としてはデンカブラック(Denka black)を使用し、バインダーとしてはPI(ポリイミド)を使用し、溶媒としてはNMP(N−メチル−2−ピロリドン)を使用した。対極としてリチウム金属を使用し、図1のような形態に中間にセパレーターを挿入して巻き取り、電池容器に挿入した後に電解液を注入し封止して電池を完成した。電解液としては、1MのLiFP6が溶解されたEC(エチレンカーボネート)/EMC(エチルメチルカーボネート)/DMC(ジメチルカーボネート)=3/3/4(体積比)に、FEC(フッ化エチレンカーボネート)添加剤が5体積%添加されたものを使用した。
前記実施例1〜4で得られたナノ粉末、Si、SiCおよびグラファイトのそれぞれに対してX線回折分析(XRD)を施し、XRD測定結果を図3に示した。
元素の含量を分析のために、前記実施例1〜4で得られたナノ粉末に対してXRF(extreme rubber flat、蛍光X線分析装置)分析によりSi元素およびO元素に対するXRF分析グラフを得た。図6および図7は、それぞれSi元素およびO元素についてのXRF分析グラフである。前記X線蛍光分析実験時に使用される機器は、WD−XRF(Philips PW2400)である。
前記実施例5〜8で製作した各リチウム2次電池に対して、負極活物質1g当たり100mAの電流で電圧が0.001V(vs.Li)に到達するまで充電し、再び同一な電流で電圧が3V(vs.Li)に到達するまで放電した。次に、同一な電流と電圧区間で充電および放電を50回繰り返した。

Claims (12)
- 結晶性Siを含むSiOx(0.5≦x≦1.5)で表される化合物と、結晶性炭素を含むSiCy(0.5≦y≦1.5)で表される化合物とを含む、リチウム2次電池用負極活物質であって、
Si元素の含量が負極活物質全体中40〜80重量%であり、
前記負極活物質は、O元素およびC元素を1:3〜3:1の重量比で含む、
リチウム2次電池用負極活物質。 - 前記SiCy(0.5≦y≦1.5)で表される化合物は、結晶性炭素、非結晶性炭素、結晶性SiCおよび非結晶性SiCを含む、請求項1に記載のリチウム2次電池用負極活物質。
- CuKα線を用いたX線回折分析(XRD)時、(111)面でのSiピークおよびSiCピークの強度比である(111)面でのSiピーク強度/(111)面でのSiCピーク強度は、1.0〜6.0である、請求項1又は2に記載のリチウム2次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記負極活物質は、アルカリ金属、アルカリ土金属、13族〜16族元素、遷移金属、希土類元素およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される一つをさらに含む、請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記負極活物質は、0.1μm〜10μmの平均粒子直径を有する、請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記負極活物質は、炭素コーティング層をさらに含む、請求項1〜請求項5のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記炭素コーティング層の厚さは、0.01μm〜1μmである、請求項6に記載のリチウム2次電池用負極活物質。
- 前記炭素コーティング層は、ソフトカーボン、ハードカーボン、メソフェーズピッチ炭化物、焼成されたコークスまたはこれらの混合物から選択される非晶質炭素である、請求項6又は7に記載のリチウム2次電池用負極活物質。
- 請求項1〜請求項8のいずれか一項に記載の負極活物質を含む負極;
正極活物質を含む正極;および
非水電解質
を含む、リチウム2次電池。 - Si、SiO 2 、および炭素を原料物質として準備する段階と;
前記準備された原料物質を電極の間に位置させた後、不活性ガス雰囲気下でアーク放電させて、結晶性Siを含むSiOx(0.5≦x≦1.5)で表される化合物、および結晶性炭素を含むSiCy(0.5≦y≦1.5)で表される化合物を生成する段階
とを含む、請求項1〜請求項8のいずれか一項に記載のリチウム2次電池用負極活物質の製造方法。 - 前記原料物質をアノード電極に接触させてアーク放電させる、請求項10に記載のリチウム2次電池用負極活物質の製造方法。
- SiおよびSiO2の含量比は、1:1〜2.5:1の重量比である、請求項10又は11に記載のリチウム2次電池用負極活物質の製造方法。
