Description
(3)第1の方向に延在し、第2の方向に配列した走査線と、第2の方向に延在し、第1の方向に配列した映像信号線とで囲まれた領域に画素電極が形成されたTFT基板と、前記画素に対応したカラーフィルタを有する対向基板の間に液晶が挟持された液晶表示パネルと、前記液晶表示パネルの背面にバックライトが配置された液晶表示装置の製造方法であって、前記走査線、前記映像信号線、前記画素電極を覆って配向膜を塗布する工程と、前記配向膜を乾燥する工程と、前記配向膜を焼成してイミド化する工程と、前記配向膜に対して偏光紫外線を照射して光配向を行う工程と、前記偏光紫外線を照射後、加熱する工程と、前記配向膜を加熱しながら、前記走査線を覆う前記配向膜にのみ紫外線を照射する工程を有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置の製造方法。
Claims (5)
- 第1の方向に延在し、第2の方向に配列した走査線と、第2の方向に延在し、第1の方向に配列した映像信号線とで囲まれた領域に画素電極が形成されたTFT基板と、前記画素に対応したカラーフィルタを有する対向基板と、前記TFT基板と前記対向基板との間に挟持された液晶とを有する液晶表示パネルと、前記液晶表示パネルの背面に配置されるバックライトとを有する液晶表示装置であって、
前記走査線、前記映像信号線、前記画素電極と、前記液晶との間に配向膜が形成され、
前記配向膜は光配向処理を受けており、
前記配向膜は光導電特性を有しており、
前記走査線と前記配向膜との間にはフォトレジストが配置されていることを特長とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記フォトレジストの厚さは前記配向膜の厚さの10倍以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記フォトレジストの厚さは前記配向膜の厚さの20倍以上であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記レジストは、フェノールノボラック系であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載の液晶表示装置
- 前記TFT基板と前記液晶との間にはコモン電極が形成されており、前記液晶は、前記画素電極と前記コモン電極との間に生じる電界によって駆動されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
