[1]潤滑油基油と、脂肪酸3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシルアルキルである第1のエステル及び3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシルカルボン酸アルキルである第2のエステルから選ばれる少なくとも1種のエステル添加剤と、を含有し、前記エステル添加剤の含有量が潤滑油組成物全量を基準として0.01〜5.0質量%である潤滑油組成物。
[2]上記第1のエステルの構成脂肪酸が炭素数5〜20の分岐状脂肪酸であり、上記第2のエステルのエステル基に含まれるアルキル基が炭素数5〜20の分岐状アルキル基である、[1]に記載の潤滑油組成物。
[3]上記第1のエステルは、1,2−エポキシシクロヘキサンのシクロヘキサン環を構成する4位又は5位炭素原子に、脂肪酸のカルボキシル基から水素原子を除いた残基が、炭素数1〜4の直鎖状アルキレン基を介して結合した構造を有する、[1]又は[2]に記載の潤滑油組成物。
[4]潤滑油組成物の40℃における動粘度が5〜1000mm2/sである、[1]〜[3]のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
[5]上記潤滑油基油が鉱油系基油、合成油系基油及び動植物油系基油から選ばれる少なくとも1種である、[1]〜[4]のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
[6]上記合成油系基油がエステル及びエーテルから選ばれる少なくとも1種である、[5]に記載の潤滑油組成物。
[7][6]に記載の潤滑油組成物からなる冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
[8]上記合成油系基油がポリオールエステル、ポリアルキレングリコール及びポリビニルエーテルから選ばれる少なくとも1種である、[7]に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
[9]不飽和フッ化炭化水素を含有する冷媒と共に用いられる、[8]に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
本実施形態における潤滑油基油としては、鉱油系基油、合成油系基油、動植物油系などの潤滑油基油を用いることができる。
[式中、R1、R2及びR3は同一でも異なっていてもよく、それぞれ水素原子又は炭素数1〜8の炭化水素基を示し、R4は炭素数1〜10の二価の炭化水素基又は炭素数2〜20の二価のエーテル結合酸素含有炭化水素基を示し、R5は炭素数1〜20の炭化水素基を示し、mは前記ポリビニルエーテルについてのmの平均値が0〜10となるような数を示し、R1〜R5は構造単位毎に同一であっても異なっていてもよく、1つの構造単位においてmが2以上である場合には、該構造単位中の複数のR4Oは同一でも異なっていてもよい。]
本実施形態に係る潤滑油組成物は、脂肪酸3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシルアルキルである第1のエステル及び3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシルカルボン酸アルキルである第2のエステルから選ばれる少なくとも1種のエステル添加剤を含有する。
本実施形態に係る潤滑油組成物は、本発明の目的が損なわれない範囲で、より性能を向上させるために、酸化防止剤、摩擦調整剤、摩耗防止剤、極圧剤、防錆剤、金属不活性化剤、消泡剤などの添加剤を含有することができる。
実施例1〜8及び比較例1〜6においては、それぞれ以下に示す潤滑油基油及び添加剤を用いて、表1、2に示す組成を有する潤滑油組成物を調製した。なお、表1、2中の添加剤の含有量は、潤滑油組成物全量を基準とした含有量である。
(A1)ポリオールエステル(POE):ペンタエリスリトールと2−エチルヘキサン酸と3,5,5−トリメチルヘキサン酸が質量比で1:1の混合酸とのエステル(40℃における動粘度68.0mm2/s、粘度指数90、流動点−40℃、引火点260℃)
(A2)ジエステル(DE):ジオクチルセバケート(40℃における動粘度11.6mm2/s、粘度指数150、流動点−50℃、引火点220℃)
(A3)ポリアルキレングリコール(PAG):両末端がメチル基でエーテル封鎖されたポリオキシプロピレン(平均分子量1000、40℃における動粘度46.0mm2/s、粘度指数190、流動点−45℃、引火点218℃)
(A4)鉱油:パラフィン系精製鉱油(40℃における動粘度22.0mm2/s、粘度指数95、流動点−15℃、引火点210℃)
(A5)菜種油:精製菜種油、(40℃における動粘度32.0mm2/s、粘度指数200、流動点−25℃、引火点330℃)
なお、動粘度はJIS K2283、流動点はJIS K2269、引火点はJIS K2265に準拠して測定した。
実施例の添加剤としては次のものを用いた。
(B1)3,5,5−トリメチルヘキサン酸3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシルメチル
(B2)イソステアリン酸3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシルメチル
(B3)3,4−エポキシシクロヘキサン−1−カルボン酸3,5,5−トリメチルヘキシル
3−シクロヘキセン−1−メタノール(東京化成工業(株)製)300.0g、3,5,5−トリメチルヘキサン酸(協和発酵ケミカル(株)製、商品名「イソノナン酸」)352.6g、及びp−トルエンスルホン酸(江南化工(株)製)0.7gを攪拌しながら120℃に昇温し、続いて120℃から150℃まで徐々に昇温しながら12時間反応させた。その後、150℃で3時間かけて10Torr(約1330Pa)まで徐々に減圧していき、反応溶液から未反応の原料を除去した。
得られた反応溶液を室温に戻し、酢酸エチル562.4g、蒸留水1124.9g、及び水酸化ナトリウム0.1gを加えて、30分間攪拌してアルカリ洗浄を行った。その後静置し、有機層と水層に分液させてから水層を抜き取って除去した。上記有機層に蒸留水1124.9gを加えて、30分間攪拌して水洗を行った。その後静置し、有機層と水層に分液させてから水層を抜き取って除去し、この作業を計2回実施した。回収した有機層をナスフラスコに移し、エバポレーターを用いて120℃、10Torr(約1330Pa)の条件下、上記有機層の脱溶剤を行い、3,5,5−トリメチルヘキサン酸3−シクロヘキセニルメチル511.0gを得た。
次に、上記で得た3,5,5−トリメチルヘキサン酸3−シクロヘキセニルメチル484.6g、及び酢酸エチル969.1gを30℃で攪拌しながら、30重量%過酢酸の酢酸エチル溶液(水分率0.41重量%)554.8gを2時間かけて滴下し、さらに5時間攪拌した。その後、反応後の溶液に蒸留水2008.4gを加えて30分間攪拌し、水洗を行った。その後静置し、有機層と水層に分液させてから水層を抜き取って除去し、この作業を計4回実施した。次に、エバポレーターを用いて150℃、10Torr(約1330Pa)の条件下、上記有機層の脱溶剤を行い、3,5,5−トリメチルヘキサン酸3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシルメチル505.0gを得た。
3−シクロヘキセン−1−カルボン酸メチル(東京化成工業(株)製)285.0g、3,5,5−トリメチルヘキサノール(協和発酵ケミカル(株)製、商品名「ノナノール」)322.6g、及びテトラブチルチタネート0.03gを攪拌しながら100℃に昇温し、続いて100℃から200℃まで徐々に昇温しながら15時間反応させた。その後、150℃で1時間かけて10Torr(約1330Pa)まで徐々に減圧していき、反応溶液から未反応の原料を除去し、3−シクロヘキセン−1−カルボン酸3,5,5−トリメチルヘキシル482.2gを得た。
次に、上記で得た3−シクロヘキセン−1−カルボン酸3,5,5−トリメチルヘキシル450.0g、及び酢酸エチル900.0gを30℃で攪拌しながら、30重量%過酢酸の酢酸エチル溶液(水分率0.41重量%)554.8gを2時間かけて滴下し、さらに5時間攪拌した。その後、反応後の溶液に蒸留水1865.2gを加えて30分間攪拌し、水洗を行った。その後静置し、有機層と水層に分液させてから水層を抜き取って除去し、この作業を計4回実施した。次に、エバポレーターを用いて120℃、10Torr(約1330Pa)の条件下、上記有機層の脱溶剤を行い、3,4−エポキシシクロヘキサン−1−カルボン酸3,5,5−トリメチルヘキシル450.0gを得た。
(C1)3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシルメチル(3,4−エポキシ)シクロヘキサンカルボキシレート
(C2)グリシジル−2,2−ジメチルオクタノエート
(C3)グリシジル−tert.−ブチルベンゾエート
実施例1〜8及び比較例1〜6の潤滑油組成物を試料油として、以下の方法で熱安定性試験を実施した。
含有水分量を1000ppmに調整した試料油90gをオートクレーブに秤取し、触媒(鉄、銅、アルミの線、いずれも外径1.6mm×50mm)とHFO−1234yf冷媒10g、空気50ccを封入した後、175℃に加熱し、100時間後の試料油の外観と酸価を測定した(JIS C2101)。熱安定性試験前の試料油(新油)の酸価並びに熱安定性試験後の試料油の外観及び酸価を表1、2に示す。
一方、比較例−1〜6の潤滑油組成物の場合は全て、析出が見られ、酸価の上昇が大きい。このことから、本発明の潤滑油組成物は少ない添加量で従来の添加剤と同様な効果を得ることができ、系内の有機材料への影響を抑制することができる。また、添加量を同レベルとすると安定性が大幅に向上する。
Claims (8)
- 潤滑油基油と、
脂肪酸3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシルアルキルである第1のエステル及び3,4−エポキシシクロヘキシルカルボン酸アルキルである第2のエステルから選ばれる少なくとも1種のエステル添加剤と、
を含有し、
前記第1のエステルの構成脂肪酸が炭素数5〜20の分岐状脂肪酸であり、前記第2のエステルのエステル基に含まれるアルキル基が炭素数5〜20の分岐状アルキル基であり、かつ
前記エステル添加剤の含有量が潤滑油組成物全量を基準として0.01〜5.0質量%である潤滑油組成物。 - 前記第1のエステルは、1,2−エポキシシクロヘキサンのシクロヘキサン環を構成する4位又は5位炭素原子に、脂肪酸のカルボキシル基から水素原子を除いた残基が、炭素数1〜4の直鎖状アルキレン基を介して結合した構造を有する、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物の40℃における動粘度が5〜1000mm2/sである、請求項1又は2に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油基油が鉱油系基油、合成油系基油及び動植物油系基油から選ばれる少なくとも1種である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記合成油系基油がエステル及びエーテルから選ばれる少なくとも1種である、請求項4に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 請求項5に記載の潤滑油組成物からなる冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
- 前記合成油系基油がポリオールエステル、ポリアルキレングリコール及びポリビニルエーテルから選ばれる少なくとも1種である、請求項6に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
- 不飽和フッ化炭化水素を含有する冷媒と共に用いられる、請求項7に記載の冷凍機用潤滑油組成物。
