Description
(1)PVDF100質量部に対して、他の熱可塑性樹脂0〜40質量部、及び酸化チタン5〜100質量部を含有する前記のPVDFフィルム。
(2)厚みが10〜50μmである前記のPVDFフィルム。
(3)押出成形フィルムである前記のPVDFフィルム。
(4)温度120℃におけるTD方向の引張弾性率が、90MPa以下である前記のPVDFフィルム。
(5)温度23℃におけるTD方向の引張弾性率に対する温度100℃におけるTD方向の引張弾性率の比率が、4%以下である前記のPVDFフィルム。
本発明のPVDFフィルムにおいて使用するPVDFとは、フッ化ビニリデンの単独重合体、及びフッ化ビニリデンを主成分とするフッ化ビニリデン共重合体を意味する。
本発明のPVDFフィルムは、PVDFに加えて、酸化チタンを含有するものであることが好ましい。特に、本発明のPVDFフィルムを太陽電池モジュール用バックシートに用いる場合、酸化チタンを含有することによって、隠蔽性及び反射効率の向上等を実現することができる。
本発明のPVDFフィルムは、樹脂成分としてPVDFのみを含有するものでよいが、加工性、耐衝撃性、接着性、耐熱性等の特性を改善するために、所望により他の熱可塑性樹脂を含有することができる。
本発明のPVDFフィルムには、PVDF、及び、先に述べたように、所望により配合する酸化チタンまたは他の熱可塑性樹脂に加えて、更に所望により、顔料または染料、顔料分散剤、紫外線吸収剤、熱安定剤、光安定剤、つや消し剤、滑剤、結晶核剤、機械物性改良剤などの他の添加剤を含有させることができる。
本発明のPVDFフィルムは、該PVDFフィルム中の赤外線吸収スペクトルによる吸光度から求められる結晶構造が、α型結晶とβ型結晶との合計を100%とした場合、10%以上のβ型結晶の割合を有するものであることを特徴とするPVDFフィルムである。
PVDFは結晶性が高い樹脂として知られており、その結晶構造としては、大別して、α型(「II型」ともいう。)、β型(「I型」ともいう。)及びγ型(「III型」ともいう。)の3種の結晶構造が存在することが知られている。PVDFは、溶融状態から冷却してフィルムを得ると、α型の結晶構造を持つことが知られていたが、本発明のPVDFフィルムは、β型結晶の割合が10%以上であることを特徴とする。
さらに、本発明のPVDFフィルムは、温度120℃におけるTD方向の引張弾性率(Tensile Modulus)が、90MPa以下であることが好ましい。すなわち、その場合、本発明のPVDFフィルムは、通常、ラミネート工程において採用される温度100℃以上の環境において、該TD方向の引張弾性率が、120MPa未満に収まる蓋然性が高くなるため、フィルムの柔軟性が保持されやすく、ラミネート用接着剤の変形を引き起こすほどの力を有しないので、ラミネート時の熱シワの発生を一層確実に防止することができる。また、フィルムが柔軟なものであることから、例えば、太陽電池用モジュール用バックシートの用途に使用する場合、使用時または設置時において形状の追従性に富むものとなるので、耐久性の向上などの観点からも好ましい。なお、ここで、「TD方向」とは、フィルムの押出方向(「機械方向」または「MD方向」ともいうことがある。)に対する直交方向を意味する。前記温度120℃におけるTD方向の引張弾性率は、より好ましくは75MPa以下、更に好ましくは65MPa以下であり、その下限は特にないが、過度に柔軟なものとならない観点から、通常5MPa、多くの場合10MPaである。
本発明のPVDFフィルム中の赤外線吸収スペクトルによる吸光度から求められる結晶構造が、α型結晶とβ型結晶との合計を100%とした場合、10%以上のβ型結晶の割合を有するものであることを特徴とするPVDFフィルムは、それ自体公知のPVDFフィルムの製造方法において、製造条件を厳密に制御することによって製造することができる。例えば、PVDFを含有する組成物である原料混合物(以下、単に「PVDF」ということがある。)を有機溶剤に溶解また分散させ、基材の上に塗布した後、該溶剤を揮発除去させるキャスト法や、基材の上にPVDF粉末を真空蒸着させる方法、PVDFを融点以上の温度で溶融混練した後、ロール間で圧延してフィルム状に成形する方法、PVDFを融点以上の温度で溶融混練した後、Tダイやインフレーションダイ等から押出成形する方法などによることができる。
本発明のPVDFフィルムは、単層フィルムとして使用することができるが、他の熱可塑性樹脂フィルムを積層して、PVDFフィルムを備える多層フィルムとすることによって、例えば、耐衝撃性や柔軟性等の機械的強度の一層の向上が求められる分野などに使用することができる。
PVDFフィルムを備える多層フィルムは、それ自体公知のPVDFフィルムを備える多層フィルムの製造方法によって製造することができる。すなわち、共押出法、押出ラミネート法、熱溶着法、接着積層法などを採用することができるが、簡便な接着積層法によって多層フィルムを製造することが好ましい。
本発明のPVDFフィルムまたはPVDFフィルムを備える多層フィルムは、太陽電池モジュール用バックシートとして使用するのに適したものである。
フィルム中のα型結晶及びβ型結晶の存在量は、パーキンエルマー社製FT−IR(SPECTRUM2000)を用い、透過法にて赤外線吸収スペクトルを測定することによって求めた。
フィルムの機械的特性である引張弾性率は、JIS K7127に準拠し、フィルムからMD方向またはTD方向に平行に切り出した長さ200mm、幅20mmの短冊状フィルムを試験片として、該試験片を所定温度に調整した炉内にセットし、約2秒間温度調節した後に、引張試験を行うことにより測定した。所定温度としては、23℃(室温に相当)、及び、30℃〜140℃の範囲の10℃毎の温度とした。引張試験は、東洋ボールドウィン株式会社製テンシロンRTM−100を使用して、引張速度10mm/分にて実施した。
フィルムの機械的特性であるフィルムの破断強度(最大点応力)は、JIS K7127に準拠し、フィルムからMD方向及びTD方向に平行に切り出した長さ150mm、幅10mmの短冊状フィルムを試験片として、前記の試験機を使用して、常温(温度23℃)下で、引張速度500mm/分にて測定した。
PVDFフィルムのラミネート時の熱シワ評価は、スリットにより280mm幅に調整したPVDFフィルムと、厚み75μm、幅280mmの二軸延伸PETフィルム(東レ株式会社製ルミラー(登録商標)T60)とからなるラミネートフィルムを製造することによって行った。
A: PVDFフィルムに、MD方向にもTD方向にもシワが認められない。
B: PVDFフィルムに、MD方向またはTD方向に沿ったシワが認められる。
PVDF〔株式会社クレハ製KF(登録商標)#850〕100質量部に対して、酸化チタン〔デユポン社製TI−PURE(登録商標)R101;ルチル型酸化チタン、平均粒径0.29μm、表面処理品〕55.6質量部、PMMA〔旭化成ケミカルズ株式会社製デルパウダー(登録商標)70H〕23.4質量部、アクリル系エラストマー〔ローム&ハース社製パラロイド(登録商標)EXL−2315〕2.5質量部、炭酸カルシウム〔竹原化学工業株式会社製SL2500〕2.8質量部、及び、ステアリン酸カルシウム〔日東化成株式会社製〕0.9質量部、及びカーボンブラック〔電気化学工業株式会社製デンカブラック(登録商標)〕0.04質量部を二軸押出機に供給し、温度220℃で溶融混練し、ダイスからストランド状に溶融押出し、冷却後、カットして製膜用ペレットを得た。
第1キャストロールの表面温度を50℃に変更したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表1に示す。
第1キャストロールの表面温度を15℃に変更したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表1に示す
第1キャストロールの表面温度を15℃に変更したこと、及び、T型ダイ出口のせん断速度を、22sec−1に変更し(単軸押出機からの吐出量を減らした。)、製膜速度を調整したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。冷却時間は16秒間であった。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表1に示す
第1キャストロールの表面温度を15℃に変更したこと、及び、T型ダイ出口のせん断速度を、9sec−1に変更し、製膜速度を調整したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。冷却時間は32秒間であった。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表1に示す
第1キャストロールの表面温度を15℃に変更したこと、及び、T型ダイ出口のせん断速度を、4sec−1に変更し、製膜速度を調整したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。冷却時間は70秒間であった。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表1に示す
実施例1で得たPVDFフィルムを、紙管に巻きとったロール状態のまま、温度115℃に調整したチャンバー内に2時間静置して、熱処理を行い、PVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表1に示す。
第1キャストロールの表面温度を、それぞれ78℃(比較例1)、90℃(比較例2)、110℃(比較例3)、及び115℃(比較例4)に変更したこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表1に示す。
第1キャストロールの表面温度を20℃とし、4本の金属ロール、すなわち第2、第3、第4及び第5の金属ロールの表面温度を90℃としてシート状物を熱処理したこと、φ50cmの第1キャストロールを用いたこと、並びに、吐出量及びダイリップクリアランスを調整して、製膜速度を20m/分とした(単軸押出機におけるペレットの溶融温度は230℃)こと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
製膜速度を35m/分に変更したこと以外は、実施例8と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
製膜速度を45m/分に変更したこと以外は、実施例8と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
第1キャストロールの表面温度を30℃に変更したこと以外は、実施例8と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
第1キャストロールの表面温度を50℃に変更したこと以外は、実施例10と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
第1キャストロールの表面温度を60℃に変更したこと以外は、実施例10と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
第1キャストロールの表面温度を65℃に変更したこと、及び、4本の金属ロール、すなわち第2〜第5の金属ロールの表面温度を110℃に変更してシート状物を熱処理したこと以外は、実施例10と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
単軸押出機に供給するペレット量を減らしたこと以外は、実施例10と同様にして、厚み15μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
実施例10で得たPVDFフィルムを、紙管に巻きとったロール状態のまま、温度115℃に調整したチャンバー内に2時間静置して、熱処理を行い、PVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
実施例10の方法で得たPVDFフィルムを、紙管に巻きとったロール状態のまま、温度80℃に調整したチャンバー内に2時間静置して、熱処理を行い、PVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
第1キャストロールの表面温度を90℃に変更したこと以外は、実施例10と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
第1キャストロールの表面温度を105℃に変更したこと以外は、実施例9と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。
製膜速度を45m/分に変更したこと以外は、比較例6と同様にして、厚み20μmのPVDFフィルムを得た。得られたPVDFフィルムのβ型結晶の割合及び機械的特性を測定した結果、並びに、ラミネート時の熱シワ評価の結果を表2に示す。

Claims (9)
- ポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂100質量部に対して、他の熱可塑性樹脂0〜40質量部、及び酸化チタン5〜100質量部を含有するポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルムであって、
前記ポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂がホモポリマーであり、
ポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルム中の赤外線吸収スペクトルによる吸光度から求められる結晶構造が、α型結晶とβ型結晶との合計を100%とした場合、10%以上のβ型結晶の割合を有するものであることを特徴とする前記ポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルム。 - 厚みが10〜50μmである請求項1記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルム。
- 押出成形フィルムである請求項1または2記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルム。
- 温度120℃におけるTD方向の引張弾性率が、90MPa以下である請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルム。
- 温度23℃におけるTD方向の引張弾性率に対する温度100℃におけるTD方向の引張弾性率の比率が、4%以下である請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルム。
- 請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルムを備える多層フィルム。
- 請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルムを備える太陽電池モジュール用バックシート。
- 溶融押出したシート状物を温度5〜70℃で急冷することを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルムの製造方法。
- 前記急冷を行ったシート状物を、温度75〜150℃で熱処理を行う請求項8記載のポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂フィルムの製造方法。
