第3の発明は、合成樹脂管どうしを融着接合する電気融着継手であって、合成樹脂管を受容する受口を有する継手本体、受口の内面に埋設される電熱線、継手本体の外面に突出して設けられるかつ電熱線に通電するための電源接続端子、および継手本体から軸方向外側に延び、合成樹脂管の融着接合時の抜けを防止する仮固定部を備え、仮固定部は、合成樹脂管の外面上に摺動しないように取り付けられる取付部、取付部と継手本体とを連結する連結部、および連結部の一方端部に設けられかつ継手本体に対して着脱可能に係止される係止部を含む、電気融着継手である。
第3の発明では、仮固定部(16)の連結部(30)の一方端部には、係止部(32)が形成される。係止部は、継手本体(14)に係止するための部位であり、この係止部を継手本体に係止したり取り外したりすることで、仮固定部が継手本体に対して着脱自在に設けられる。
第3の発明によれば、電気融着継手を用いて合成樹脂管どうしを融着接合した後で、継手本体から仮固定部を取り外し、その仮固定部を他の電気融着継手の継手本体に取り付けるなどして、仮固定部を再利用することが可能である。
第4の発明は、第3の発明に従属し、係止部は、電源接続端子に係止される。
第4の発明では、仮固定部(16)の係止部(32)は、たとえば電源接続端子(24)の大きさに対応した大きさの内径を有する短円筒状に形成され、電源接続端子に引っ掛けて係止される。
面と合成樹脂管の外面とを溶融して、電気融着継手と合成樹脂管とを融着接合するステップ、および(d)ステップ(c)で電気融着継手と合成樹脂管とを融着接合した後、仮固定部を継手本体および合成樹脂管から取り外すステップを含む、接合方法である。

Claims (8)
- 合成樹脂管どうしを融着接合する電気融着継手であって、
前記合成樹脂管を受容する受口を有する継手本体、
前記受口の内面に埋設される電熱線、
前記継手本体の外面に突出して設けられるかつ前記電熱線に通電するための電源接続端子、および
前記継手本体から軸方向外側に延び、前記合成樹脂管の融着接合時の抜けを防止する仮固定部を備え、
前記仮固定部は、
弾性体によって前記合成樹脂管の外径と等しいかそれよりも小さい内径を有する円筒状に形成され、前記合成樹脂管の外径より大きくなるように拡径させることによって前記合成樹脂管の外面に外嵌される取り付け部、および
前記取付部と前記継手本体とを曲げ変形可能に連結する連結部を含む、電気融着継手。 - 合成樹脂管どうしを融着接合する電気融着継手であって、
前記合成樹脂管を受容する受口を有する継手本体、
前記受口の内面に埋設される電熱線、
前記継手本体の外面に突出して設けられるかつ前記電熱線に通電するための電源接続端子、および
前記継手本体から軸方向外側に延び、前記合成樹脂管の融着接合時の抜けを防止する仮固定部を備え、
前記仮固定部は、
前記合成樹脂管の外面上に摺動しないように取り付けられる取付部、および
前記取付部と前記継手本体とを連結する弾性体からなる連結部を含み、前記連結部は引張力によって前記合成樹脂管の外面に取り付けられた前記取付部を前記継手本体の側へ引き寄せる、電気融着継手。 - 合成樹脂管どうしを融着接合する電気融着継手であって、
前記合成樹脂管を受容する受口を有する継手本体、
前記受口の内面に埋設される電熱線、
前記継手本体の外面に突出して設けられるかつ前記電熱線に通電するための電源接続端子、および
前記継手本体から軸方向外側に延び、前記合成樹脂管の融着接合時の抜けを防止する仮固定部を備え、
前記仮固定部は、
前記合成樹脂管の外面上に摺動しないように取り付けられる取付部、
前記取付部と前記継手本体とを連結する連結部、および
前記連結部の一方端部に設けられかつ前記継手本体に対して着脱可能に係止される係止部を含む、電気融着継手。 - 前記係止部は、前記電源接続端子に係止される、請求項3記載の電気融着継手。
- 前記取付部は、帯状に形成され、自身を外側から締め付ける締め付け手段を有する、請求項2ないし4のいずれかに記載の電気融着継手。
- 前記取付部は、帯状に形成され、自身の端部どうしを接離可能に接続する接続手段を有する、請求項2ないし4のいずれかに記載の電気融着継手。
- 請求項3または4記載の電気融着継手を用いて合成樹脂管どうしを融着接合する接合方法であって、
(a)合成樹脂管を継手本体の受口に挿入するステップ、
(b)前記ステップ(a)で受口に挿入した合成樹脂管と前記継手本体とを仮固定部によって仮固定するステップ、
(c)前記ステップ(b)で継手本体と合成樹脂管とを仮固定した後、前記受口の内面と前記合成樹脂管の外面とを溶融して、電気融着継手と合成樹脂管とを融着接合するステップ、および
(d)前記ステップ(c)で電気融着継手と合成樹脂管とを融着接合した後、前記仮固定部を前記継手本体および前記合成樹脂管から取り外すステップを含む、接合方法。 - 請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の電気融着継手、および
前記電気融着継手の受口に挿入され、その外面に仮固定部が取り付けられて電気融着時の抜けが防止された合成樹脂管を備える、電気融着継手と合成樹脂管との接合構造。
