Description
LiMPO4
(Mは、Co、Ni、MnおよびFeから選択される1種以上の元素である。)
LiNixMnyCo1-x-yO2
(0<x<0.5、0<y<0.5)
LiNixMnyCo1-x-yO2
(0<x<0.5、0<y<0.5)
(2次粒子の製造)
オリビン構造のLiFePO4粉末を水とともに攪拌機に入れて混合してスラリーを製造した後、これを回転噴霧乾燥法で凝集して乾燥し、10μmサイズの2次粒子を製造した。
前記方法によって製造されたLiFePO4 2次粒子と一般的なLiFePO4を50対50に混合した材料20重量%と、Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 60重量%、黒鉛 7重量%、デンカブラック 7重量%およびPVDF 6重量%を含む正極活物質を製造した。具体的に、前記含量比のLi[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2とLiFePO4および黒鉛とデンカブラックをグラインディング(grinding)、シービング(sieving)した後、バインダーとしてPVDF 6重量%をともにコーティングして正極合剤を製造し、これを正極集電体に塗布し、圧延および乾燥して二次電池用正極を製造した。
前記のように製造された正極を含み、黒鉛をベースとする負極の間に多孔性ポリエチレンの分離膜を介在し、リチウム電解液を注入して、ポリマー型リチウム二次電池を製作した。
LiFePO4を100%2次粒子化して正極活物質に含むこと以外は、前記実施例1と同様な方法でポリマーリチウム二次電池を製作した。
LiFePO4を2次粒子化することなく、そのまま正極活物質に含むこと以外は、前記実施例1と同様な方法でポリマーリチウム二次電池を製作した。
Claims (16)
- 二種類の化合物である第1活物質と第2活物質を含む複合電極であって、
前記第1活物質は、1次粒子が5nm〜200nmの粒子サイズを有し、前記第2活物質は、5μm〜20μmの粒子サイズを有し、
前記第1活物質は、前記1次粒子を凝集し、前記第2活物質との粒子サイズが均一になるように、5μm〜20μmの範囲に2次的に粒子化(2次粒子)して含まれることを特徴とする、複合電極。 - 前記第1活物質が、前記複合電極の総量に対して10〜60重量%で含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の複合電極。
- 前記第1活物質における2次粒子が、前記第1活物質の総量に対して30重量%以上〜100重量%未満で含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の複合電極。
- 前記第1活物質における2次粒子が、前記1次粒子以外に、導電材をさらに含んでなることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の複合電極。
- 前記導電材が、前記2次粒子の総量に対して0.5重量%〜5重量%含まれることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の複合電極。
- 前記導電材が、アセチレンブラック、ケッチェンブラック、チャンネルブラック、ファーネスブラック、ランプブラック、サマーブラックからなる群から選択されるカーボンブラック、及び結晶構造がグラフェン又はグラファイトを含む物質からなる群から選択される一種又は二種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする、請求項4又は5に記載の複合電極。
- 前記複合電極は正極であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載の複合電極。
- 前記第1活物質は、下記化学式1で表されるオリビン構造のリチウム含有リン酸化物であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜7の何れか一項に記載の複合電極。

〔上記式中、
Mは、Co、Ni、MnおよびFeから選択される1種以上の元素である。〕 - 前記第1活物質が、LiFePO4であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜8の何れか一項に記載の複合電極。
- 前記複合電極が、LiFePO4以外に、下記化学式2で表される三元系リチウム含有金属酸化物をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の複合電極。
LiNixMnyCo1−x−yO2 [化学式2]
〔上記式中、0<x<0.5、0<y<0.5〕 - 前記三元系リチウム含有金属酸化物が、LiM1/3Ni1/3Co1/3Oであることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の複合電極。
- 前記複合電極が、リチウムコバルト酸化物、リチウムニッケル酸化物、リチウムコバルト−ニッケル酸化物、リチウムコバルト−マンガン酸化物、リチウムマンガン−ニッケル酸化物、リチウムコバルト−ニッケル−マンガン酸化物、リチウム含有オリビン型リン酸塩、これらに他の元素で置換またはドープした酸化物から選択される何れか一種又はこれらの二種以上の混合物をさらに含んでなり、
前記他の元素が、Al、Mg、Mn、Ni、Co、Cr、V、Feからなる群から選択される何れか一種又は二種以上の元素であることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の複合電極。 - 前記複合電極が、前記複合電極の総量に対して10重量%以下のバインダーおよび導電材を含んでなることを特徴とする、請求項1〜12の何れか一項に記載の複合電極。
- 請求項1〜13の何れか一項に記載の複合電極を備えてなることを特徴とする、リチウム二次電池。
- 前記リチウム二次電池が、中型又は大型デバイスの電源である電池モジュールの単位電池として使用されることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記中型又は大型デバイスが、パワーツール(power tool)、電気自動車(Electric Vehicle、EV)、ハイブリッド電気自動車(Hybrid Electric Vehicle、HEV)、およびプラグインハイブリッド電気自動車(Plug−in Hybrid Electric Vehicle、PHEV)を含む電気車;E−bike、E−scooterを含む電気二輪車;電気ゴルフカート(Electric golf cart);電気トラック;電気商用車または電力貯蔵用システムであることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載のリチウム二次電池。
