Description
(a) 光学ガラス廃材の粉砕物に炭素を添加し、非酸化的雰囲気中で金属亜鉛の沸点以上の温度に加熱して酸化亜鉛を亜鉛に還元すると共に、亜鉛を揮発させ除去する焙焼工程;
(b) 工程(a)で得られた焙焼残渣を加熱しながら塩酸又は硝酸で溶解する工程;
(c) 工程(b)で得られた酸溶解液を水相として、PC−88Aを含有する有機相とpH1〜2の酸性条件下で接触させることにより、Gdを有機相に抽出し、Laを水相に残す工程。

Claims (7)
- 少なくともLa、Gdを含む希土類元素とZnを含有する光学ガラス廃材から、La、Zn、Gdを分離する希土類元素の分離方法であって、以下の各工程を備えることを特徴とする分離方法:
(a)光学ガラス廃材の粉砕物に炭素を添加し、非酸化的雰囲気中で金属亜鉛の沸点以上の温度に加熱して酸化亜鉛を亜鉛に還元すると共に、亜鉛を揮発させ除去する焙焼工程;
(b)工程(a)で得られた焙焼残渣を加熱しながら塩酸又は硝酸で溶解する工程;
(c)工程(b)で得られた酸溶解液を水相として、PC‐88Aを含有する有機相とpH2以下の酸性条件下で接触させることにより、Gdを有機相に抽出し、Laを水相に残す工程。 - さらに以下の工程を備えることを特徴とする請求項1の希土類元素の分離方法:
(d)工程(c)後の水相を、PC‐88Aを含有する有機相とpH3〜4の酸性条件下で接触させることにより、水相に残留していたLaを有機相に抽出する工程。 - 前記工程(a)の加熱温度が1000℃以上である請求項1の希土類元素の分離方法。
- 前記工程(a)の非酸化的雰囲気は窒素雰囲気である請求項1の希土類元素の分離方法。
- 前記工程(a)で添加する炭素は、光学ガラス廃材中に含まれる亜鉛の等モル量以上である請求項1の希土類元素の分離方法。
- 前記工程(b)の加熱は反応液を加熱還流して行うものである請求項1の希土類元素の分離方法。
- 前記光学ガラス廃材は、さらにB、Ta、Nbを含有していることを特徴とする請求項1の希土類元素の分離方法。
