Description
複数個の単電池は、直方体状の外装ケースの厚み方向に単電池を積層してなる積層電池群(2,3)を複数形成し、当該複数の積層電池群を構成するすべての単電池は直列結線されており、
複数の積層電池群(2,3)のうち、少なくとも1つの積層電池群(3)は、隣接する他の積層電池群(2)よりも積層個数が少なく構成されて、隣接する他の積層電池群(3)との間に積層個数の違いによる段差空間(4)を形成し、
直列結線の一端をなす電極端子(14b)は、段差空間(4)に隣接する位置に設定され、
複数個の単電池の状態を検出する制御基板(5)とパワー素子を搭載するパワー基板(50)とが一つの基板で構成され、
制御基板(5)は段差空間(4)に配置され、パワー素子が搭載されるパワー基板(50)は、段差空間(4)の外に位置することを特徴とする。
本発明を適用した第1実施形態について、図1〜図8を参照して説明する。第1実施形態の組電池1を構成する複数個の単電池は、例えばアルミ缶等の外殻を構成する外装ケースを有し、直方体状の外装ケースの一端面から突出する正極端子及び負極端子からなる電極端子をそれぞれ有する。組電池1は、当該複数個の単電池を直列に結線するように電極端子間を接続する複数個のバスバーを備える。
第2実施形態では、第1実施形態に対する他の形態である組電池1Aについて図9及び図10を参照して説明する。また、第1実施形態に係る図面と同一符号を付した構成部品、第2実施形態において説明しない他の構成は、第1実施形態と同様であり、また同様の作用効果を奏するものである。
第3実施形態では、第1実施形態に対する他の形態について図11及び図12を参照して説明する。また、第1実施形態に係る図面と同一符号を付した構成部品、第3実施形態において説明しない他の構成は、第1実施形態と同様であり、また同様の作用効果を奏するものである。
第4実施形態では、第1実施形態に対する他の形態である組電池1Cについて図13を参照して説明する。また、第1実施形態に係る図面と同一符号を付した構成部品、第4実施形態において説明しない他の構成は、第1実施形態と同様であり、また同様の作用効果を奏するものである。
上述の実施形態では、本発明の好ましい実施形態について説明したが、本発明は上述した実施形態に何ら制限されることなく、本発明の主旨を逸脱しない範囲において種々変形して実施することが可能である。

Claims (2)
- 直方体状の外装ケースから突出する正極端子(10b〜14b)及び負極端子(10a〜14a)からなる電極端子をそれぞれ有する複数個の単電池(10〜14)と、当該複数個の単電池を直列に結線するように前記電極端子間を接続する複数個のバスバー(20〜25)と、を備える組電池(1)であって、
前記複数個の単電池は、前記直方体状の外装ケースの厚み方向に前記単電池を積層してなる積層電池群(2,3)を複数形成し、当該複数の積層電池群を構成するすべての単電池は前記直列結線されており、
前記複数の前記積層電池群(2,3)のうち、少なくとも1つの積層電池群(3)は、隣接する他の積層電池群(2)よりも積層個数が少なく構成されて、前記隣接する他の積層電池群(2)との間に積層個数の違いによる段差空間(4)を形成し、
前記直列結線の一端をなす前記電極端子(14b)は、前記段差空間(4)に隣接する位置に設定され、
前記複数個の単電池の状態を検出する制御基板(5)とパワー素子を搭載するパワー基板(50)とが一つの基板で構成され、
前記制御基板(5)は前記段差空間(4)に配置され、前記パワー素子が搭載される前記パワー基板(50)は、前記段差空間(4)の外に位置することを特徴とする組電池。 - 前記単電池の前記正極端子と前記負極端子との間に位置する前記外装ケースの端面に設けられ、前記単電池内部の圧力が異常な圧力になるときに破断する安全弁(10c〜14c)と、
前記安全弁に対向する内壁面を有し、内部の通路(6a)に前記安全弁が露出するように設けられるダクト部(6)と、を備え、
前記複数個のバスバーは、隣接する単電池の前記電極端子間を上下方向及び左右方向にのみ接続することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の組電池。
