Claims (9)
- 1つの高抵抗性基板上に形成された複数個の発光ダイオードのアレイであって、第1の色の光を供給するように構成される少なくとも1個の発光ダイオードの第1の組、第2の色の光を供給するように構成される少なくとも1個の発光ダイオードの第2の組、及び第3の色の光を供給するように構成される少なくとも1個の発光ダイオードの第3の組を少なくとも有するアレイ、及び
前記アレイが配設されるサブマウントであって、前記発光ダイオードのアレイが接続される回路を備えるサブマウントを有する色可変発光デバイスにおいて、
前記アレイ内の各発光ダイオードが、前記回路への別個の接続を持ち、
前記少なくとも第1、第2及び第3の組のうちの少なくとも1つの組は、前記回路を介して直列に相互接続される少なくとも2個の発光ダイオードを有し、
前記回路は、前記少なくとも第1、第2及び第3の組のうちの1つの組を独立してアドレスするための外部コネクタを有し、
前記サブマウントは、マルチレイヤサブマウントであり、前記回路は、前記サブマウントの第1の層に一部配設され、前記サブマウントの第2の層に一部配設されることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 前記回路は、第1の部分及び第2の部分を有し、前記第1の部分は、独立してアドレス可能な前記発光ダイオードの組に接続され、前記第2の部分と電気的に絶縁されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記回路の前記第1の部分は、前記サブマウントの第1の層に配設され、前記回路の前記第2の部分は、前記サブマウントの第2の層に配設されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のデバイス。
- 前記第1の組の前記発光ダイオードは、該ダイオードにより放たれる光を供給される前記第1の色の光に変換するように構成される第1の波長変換化合物を備え、前記第2の組の前記発光ダイオードは、該ダイオードにより放たれる光を供給される前記第2の色の光に変換するように構成される第2の波長変換化合物を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3の何れか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記発光ダイオードにより放たれる光は青色光であり、供給される前記第1の色は緑色であり、供給される前記第2の色は赤色であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のデバイス。
- 前記第3の組の前記発光ダイオードは、該ダイオードにより放たれる光を供給される前記第3の色の光に変換するように構成される第3の波長変換化合物を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5の何れか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記発光ダイオードにより放たれる光は紫外光であり、供給される前記第1の色は緑色であり、供給される前記第2の色は赤色であり、供給される前記第3の色は青色であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のデバイス。
- 前記波長変換化合物は、前記発光ダイオード上に堆積されることを特徴とする請求項4乃至7の何れか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記波長変換化合物は、前記アレイ上に配設される層の領域に配設され、前記領域は、前記発光ダイオードの少なくとも一部を覆うことを特徴とする請求項4乃至7の何れか一項に記載のデバイス。
