Description
本発明は、PTFE膜の寸法の安定性を改良する方法および本発明の方法を使用して作られる寸法的に安定したPTFE膜に方向づけらる。本明細書で記載されたプロセスは、従来の既存の方法を使用して作られたPTFE膜に通常、関連している緩和応力(relaxation stress)を減少する、および/または、除去する。
Claims (8)
- 多孔質PTFE膜の寸法の安定性を改良する方法であって、
a)予め設定された露出時間、多孔質PTFE膜を前記多孔質PTFE膜の融点より上に上昇した温度に晒す工程と、
b)予め設定された露出時間、前記多孔質PTFE膜を上昇した圧力に晒す工程と、を有し、
前記多孔質PTFE膜は、前記上昇した温度と前記上昇した圧力とに同時に晒され、
前記多孔質PTFE膜の寸法の安定性の影響は、少なくとも一部が前記温度と前記圧力と前記露出時間との組み合わせによって決定されることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記多孔質PTFE膜が327℃より上の温度まで上昇されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多孔質PTFE膜の寸法の安定性を改良する方法。
- 前記多孔質PTFE膜が325℃より上で400℃未満の温度まで上昇されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多孔質PTFE膜の寸法の安定性を改良する方法。
- 前記多孔質PTFE膜が327℃より上の温度まで加熱され、同時に、少なくとも6895Paの圧力の下で圧縮されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多孔質PTFE膜の寸法の安定性を改良する方法。
- 前記多孔質PTFE膜が327℃より上の温度まで加熱され、同時に、少なくとも34480Paの圧力の下で圧縮されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多孔質PTFE膜の寸法の安定性を改良する方法。
- 前記予め設定された露出時間が0.1〜1秒であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多孔質PTFE膜の寸法の安定性を改良する方法。
- 前記予め設定された露出時間が0.05〜0.5秒であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多孔質PTFE膜の寸法を改良する方法。
- 前記多孔質PTFE膜は、少なくとも一方向に配向されており、前記多孔質PTFE膜は、1秒未満の期間、少なくとも340℃の温度と、少なくとも6895Paの圧力とに、同時に晒されること特徴とする請求項1に記載の多孔質PTFE膜の寸法の安定性を改良する方法。
