Description
(i)海底電力ケーブルを定位置に敷設するステップであって、海底電力ケーブルが、接続ポイントにある第1の端部から電源グリッドへ、さらに海中潮流水力タービン発電機を設置することが望まれる設置サイトにある第2の端部へと延びる、ステップと、
(ii)海底電力ケーブルを接続ポイントに接続するステップと、
(iii)電源スイッチを使用して電源グリッドから海底電力ケーブルを切り替えるステップと、
(iv)絶縁スイッチを使用して電源グリッドから海底電力ケーブルを絶縁し、電力ケーブルをアースに接続するステップと、
(v)電源スイッチおよび絶縁スイッチに南京錠をかけるステップと、
(vi)制御スイッチを開けることによって、前記コントローラにおいて制御信号を遮断し、タービン発電機に電気ブレーキを印加するステップと、
(vii)制御スイッチに南京錠をかけるステップと、
(viii)前記設置サイトに前記水力タービン発電機を配備するステップと、
(ix)海底電力ケーブルを前記水力タービン発電機に接続するステップと、
(x)電源スイッチおよび絶縁スイッチから南京錠を外すステップと、
(xi)絶縁スイッチを使用して、アースから電力ケーブルを接続解除するステップと、
(xii)電源スイッチを使用して、電源グリッドへの電力ケーブルのスイッチをオンするステップと、
(xiii)制御スイッチから南京錠を外すステップと、
(xiv)タービン発電機から電気ブレーキを取り除き、発電機が発電を開始できるように、制御スイッチを閉じるステップと、
を含む。
(a)電力ケーブルのスイッチが切られ、絶縁した後で、海底電力ケーブルの第2の端部に関連するロケーション指定を記録するステップと、
(b)ステップ(ix)の前に、タービン配備が、前記特定の海底電力ケーブルの第2の端部に関連するロケーション指定において行われていることを確証するステップと、
をさらに含む。
(a)前記水力タービン発電機を前記設置サイトに配備する前に、水力タービン発電機の正出力端子および負出力端子をアースに接続するために、水力タービン発電機上のラッチ接触器を閉じるステップと、
(b)前記水力タービン発電機を前記設置サイトに配備した後で、水力タービン発電機の出力端子をアースから接続解除するために、ラッチ接触器を開けるステップと、
をさらに備える。
(a)次の水力タービン発電機を次の設置サイトに配備するステップと、
(b)前の水力タービン発電機の延長ケーブルを次の水力タービン発電機の発電機ケーブルに接続するステップと、
(c)アレイの水力タービン発電機のそれぞれに対して、ステップ(a)および(b)を反復するステップであって、ステップ(xi)〜(xvi)の前にステップ(a)〜(c)を実行する、ステップと、
をさらに含む。
Claims (9)
- 海中潮流水力タービン発電機を設置し、海底電力ケーブルを使用して前記タービン発電機を電源グリッドに接続する方法であって、前記水力タービン発電機が、制御信号の遮断時に前記タービンに電気ブレーキを印加するように動作可能な電気ブレーキシステムを備え、前記制御信号が、接続ポイントにあるコントローラから前記海底電力ケーブルを介して前記電源グリッドに送信され、前記方法が、
(i)海底電力ケーブルを定位置に敷設するステップであって、前記海底電力ケーブルが、接続ポイントにある第1の端部から電源グリッドへ、さらに海中潮流水力タービン発電機を設置することが望まれる設置サイトにある第2の端部へと延びる、ステップと、
(ii)前記海底電力ケーブルを前記接続ポイントに接続するステップと、
(iii)電源スイッチを使用して前記電源グリッドから前記海底電力ケーブルを切り替えるステップと、
(iv)絶縁スイッチを使用して前記電源グリッドから前記海底電力ケーブルを絶縁し、前記海底電力ケーブルをアースに接続するステップと、
(v)前記電源スイッチおよび前記絶縁スイッチに南京錠をかけるステップと、
(vi)制御スイッチを開けることによって、前記コントローラにおいて制御信号を遮断し、前記タービン発電機に電気ブレーキを印加するステップと、
(vii)前記制御スイッチに南京錠をかけるステップと、
(viii)前記設置サイトに前記水力タービン発電機を配備するステップと、
(ix)前記海底電力ケーブルを前記水力タービン発電機に接続するステップと、
(x)前記電源スイッチおよび前記絶縁スイッチから前記南京錠を外すステップと、
(xi)前記絶縁スイッチを使用して、アースから前記海底電力ケーブルを接続解除するステップと、
(xii)前記電源スイッチを使用して、前記電源グリッドへの前記海底電力ケーブルのスイッチをオンするステップと、
(xiii)前記制御スイッチから前記南京錠を外すステップと、
(xiv)前記タービン発電機から前記電気ブレーキを取り除き、前記発電機が発電を開始できるように、前記制御スイッチを閉じるステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記方法が、ステップ(ix)の前に、全ての海中回路が停止していることを検査するステップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ステップ(ii)〜(viii)および(xi)〜(xiv)が前記接続ポイントで実行される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、
(a)前記電力ケーブルのスイッチが切られ、絶縁した後で、前記海底電力ケーブルの前記第2の端部に関連するロケーション指定を記録するステップと、
(b)ステップ(ix)の前に、前記タービン配備が、前記特定の海底電力ケーブルの前記第2の端部に関連する前記ロケーション指定において行われていることを確証するステップと、
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記ロケーション指定がGPS座標を備える、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、
(c)前記水力タービン発電機を前記設置サイトに配備する前に、前記水力タービン発電機の正出力端子および負出力端子をアースに接続するために、前記水力タービン発電機上のラッチ接触器を閉じるステップと、
(d)前記水力タービン発電機を前記設置サイトに配備した後で、前記水力タービン発電機の前記出力端子をアースから接続解除するために、前記ラッチ接触器を開けるステップと、
をさらに含む、請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の方法。 - ステップ(ix)が、前記タービンの軸が、前記設置サイトの卓越潮流の方向と整合するように、前記水力タービン発電機を前記設置サイトに配備するステップをさらに含む、請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記水力タービン発電機が、前記発電機を海底電力ケーブルに接続するための発電機ケーブルを備え、ステップ(x)が、接続のために前記海底電力ケーブルの前記第2の端部および前記発電機ケーブルを設置ベッセルに回収するステップをさらに含み、前記海底電力ケーブルおよび前記発電機ケーブルが、前記設置サイトの定位置に前記設置ベッセルを固定するように作用する、請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載の単一の水力タービン発電機を設置するステップを含む、水力タービン発電機のアレイを設置する方法であって、前記水力タービン発電機が、複数の水力タービン発電機をデージーチェーン方式で1つに結束できるように、さらなる水力タービン発電機に接続するための延長ケーブルをさらに備え、前記方法が、
(a)次の水力タービン発電機を次の設置サイトに配備するステップと、
(b)前の水力タービン発電機の延長ケーブルを前記次の水力タービン発電機の発電機ケーブルに接続するステップと、
(c)前記アレイの前記水力タービン発電機のそれぞれに対して、ステップ(a)および(b)を反復するステップであって、ステップ(xi)〜(xiv)の前にステップ(a)〜(c)が実行される、ステップと、
をさらに含む、方法。
