Abstract
1,131,352. Control of motors. CLEVEDON ELECTRONICS Ltd. 4 July, 1967 [5 April, 1966], No. 15128/66. Heading H2J. [Also in Division H1] A motor 1 driving dispensing mechanism 4 is started by closing contacts 9 to energize coil 10 for overcoming the effect of magnet 8 which is positioned on the periphery of a motor-driven drum 7. Contacts 6 of a reed relay 5 are thereby closed in series with the motor. The contacts 9 are released when the magnet 8 has moved away from the neighbourhood of the contacts 6. The motor then rotates shaft 2 through a complete revolution to bring the magnet 8 back to its original position, where it will again open the contacts 6 and stop the rotation of the motor. In another arrangement, the device for opening the motor circuit includes a stationary magnet and a magnetic screen which is moved between the magnet and the contacts of the reed relay when the shaft reaches a predetermined angular position.
